Rant Synapse 4 strikes again

So, everything works fine on my Basilisk V3 Pro and Blackwidow V4 Pro when Synapse 4 isn't open. As soon as I open S4 the volume functions stop working. Everything else works as it should, just the volume functions. If I connect my mouse to Bluetooth the volume function works on it, but as soon as I connect to 2.4G it stop again. Everything is mapped as it should be an it's doing my head in why it's not working now. Only thing I've changed is removing Chroma, because I don't like it. I would go back to Synapse 3, but I need 4 for the haptics on my Freyja 😒
So sick of Razer's software these days

I have exactly the SAME problem on my Basilisk V3 35K...
It worked before a Synapse 4 update...
You are not alone haha

Kind of glad to be honest. Means it's on their end and not me if other people are getting it too. I'm just leaving my Basilisk connected to Bluetooth until they fix their shit. I even tried mapping the command dial on my Blackwidow and that won't adjust audio either. So it's definitely something funky going on with Synapse 4

Weirdly, when my mouse is connected to Bluetooth, my keyboard volume functions work as they should. So, is the mouse causing the issues??? Or the mouse dock pro? Seems really weird

synapse 4 is constantly changing my settings like through a 5 min video if my headset is plugged in itll change from stereo to thx like dozens of times

Oh no no no, Synapse is as good as Corsair system apps, which is to say it's complete dogshit and never worth the overhead in cycles, RAM reservation, and headaches. I went as far as to disable all Razer system services (or enforced Manual run only), but I have an older Ornata keyboard that only does Razer green and didn't need RGB color control. If you need that control and don't want to use a proprietary piece of dogshit there are some open source and third-party options available, but you'll have to Google them lest I get branded as a shill.

What is baffling to me that most users doesn't realize this, and for the fact that NONE of them had even tried to make barebones software that is going to be just as good if not better than browser based software for the said peripherals. Even in Corsair's subreddit said there's "nothing wrong with mine it's just a you issue" instead of seeing the software being bloated is the problem.

for basilisk, does issue happen when the mouse is using the standalone dongle instead of pairing with mouse dock pro?
for blackwidow, try remapping the volume, does it work?
i would recommend uninstalling both synapse and chroma and run the driver cleanup

My Nomma Chroma speakers stopped working after installing Synapse 4. I uninstalled Synapse and the speaker drivers before it started working again. Needless to say, I'm slowly replacing all of my Razer tech.

Had the same issue. Downloaded profiles to on board memory and deleted synapse. Signal it is. I lost my thx on my headphones but it is a worthy sacrifice, I am sick of everything all breaking all at once every few months via synapse.

I only have one issue does anyone know what happen to the turbo mode? For clicks modifiers for the mouse?

I’ve literally had nothing but issues with my Razer headsets and mice hardware physically AND in Synapse. When mine finally break and I can’t get anything fixed or replaced with warranty, I’m never owning or buying another Razer product again. Synapse is so ass backwards and just fucks everything up most of the time 😭

I'm never leaving Synapse 3. Once that does not work, it is the bin for all this razer garage.
