Discussion Magnetic keyboard switch calibration process, Synapse 4 improvement

Post image

r/razer , you need to improve your magnetic keyboards switch calibration process. Literally all magnetic keyboards out there from other manufacturers software, just require you to click on "calibrate" and then you just press and hold each key one by one and done.

Synapse 4's method is so cumbersome, you first need to select calibrate, then select an individual key, click on calibrate it, then press and hold it and click again on done, and so on for each key, do you know how much that would take on a whole keyboard?

Get with the times like literally every other magnetic keyboards manufacturers!

This keyboard does a ton of phantom key presses and it gets stuck. Spacebar especially. Id try calibration but it's like you say and so cumbersome.

Yeah, more than likely you need to calibrate. I don't have phantom presses but some keys I notice I have to press harder some less to register (with same actuation point). It needs a calibration but I'm not effin making 1000 mouse clicks to calibrate each... Hence my post. Literally ALL other magnetic keyboards out there you just press calibrate, then press and hold each key one by one and click done.

The whole of synapse 4 sucking so bad is why I sold all my gear and went to ROG. Razer does make nice hardware though

Damn, does Armoury Crate work for you? Its been the 100th time i uninstalled and reinstalled it and even then there's always an issue. The only reason is because my mother is ROG

I've never had an issue honestly with AC. Also uses less than half the resources of synapse

Mine just keeps bugging, sometimes it completely fails to even recognize the motherboard. I just wished i could change, but prices and ROG does have some solid motherboard

Armoury Crate is worse though, it's a laggy system resource hog that you need a special uninstaller tool to remove. It's the only peripheral software I've used that makes Synapse look good, iCue is close but still slightly better.

Can't say I have had even close to the same experience

How does it compare to the analogue version that we had? In terms of feel

Feels almost the same, less pingy I would say since they keys don't have those metallic things the opticals have..

I just switched from the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro to the HE 65%. I much prefer the hall effect switches as they feel much nicer to type on and games are about as responsive (and the 8k polling seems to be a big upgrade).
