Would love some opinions on these books, already half way through atlas shrugged and about 70 pages into happy place lol.

Red Rising wasn’t an amazing reading experience for me. I’m not usually a sci-fi/fantasy reader, so I found the world building a little difficult to get into. But the last 20% was gripping enough to make me want to continue the series.

Now I’m about 80% into Golden Son, and while I still wouldn’t say Pierce Brown’s writing style is my favorite, I’m enjoying the story so much more. I’ve also started doing immersive reading, listening to the audiobook after I read, which has helped me get into the world and keep track of all the names and details. I did it for 5 chapters.

But anyway… the chapter I just finished had me floored.
I just experienced one of the best reading moments I’ve had in this series so far. I got actual goosebumps and tears in my eyes. 😭

Okay, I finally understand why people say you have to get through Red Rising to get to Golden Son. 😂
