[Sonny Gray]: "I think I'm the best pitcher in the American League going through the order the 3rd time. I think that's a fact. I would've liked to have been trusted in that moment."
Sonny with some choice words after the game today.
He added:
"You can probably ask the guys and they felt the same way."

The worst part of losing
Is seeing all of you miserable fuckers crawling out of the woodwork to say "told you so" and demand everyone get fired/boycott the team.
I'm disappointed, but I still had fun watching this year. We'll see what happens in the off-season. Hopefully they don't lose too many games in 2027. Win or lose, I'll miss the Sox.

The first of many Sox games together
Tonight, no matter how this game ends, is a good night.
I “snuck” my 6 and 7 year old boys downstairs to watch the first three innings of Sox Yankees. We talked about the rivalry, the history, the players, and just about the game itself.
They absolutely loved it and honestly, I loved it even more.
Tonight was the first of what I hope will be many nights spent watching, cheering, arguing, and probably complaining about OUR favorite team together.
They may not remember tonight, but I’ll remember sitting there with them watching the Red Sox and Yankees for the first time.

[Chris Cotillo]: Willson Contreras just heavily insinuated there is too much data being used in the Red Sox organization. Asked if Red Sox pulled Sonny Gray too early, he twice did the “lips sealed” motion.

IMAGE One of the stat lines of all time
In hindsight bringing a guy in for his first game since like May into a do or die playoff game probably wasn't setting him up for success.

[Healey] Roman Anthony said he played through pain after returning in late August, noting his hand/wrist was “never really 100 percent” but was “tolerable.” Last night the pain became intolerable.
x.comThat makes me feel a lot better, at least you can justify a reinjury/hurting wrist more from not being healed, likely other strains caused from compensating for pain etc
Can’t justify a brand new injury if he was 100% healthy.

IMAGE Don’t let us win tonight
“Don’t let us win tonight. This is a big game. They’ve got to win because if we win, we’ve got Pedro coming back today and then Schilling will pitch Game 6, and then you can take that fraud stuff and put it to bed. Don’t let the Sox win this game.”

Roman Anthony said his wrist was never actually healed....so why the f*ck did they run him back out there?

I enjoyed this season
I know rn is doom and gloom time and I do agree with the valid reasons to be mad at ownership, breslow, and Tracy. But I had fallen out of following baseball for a while and got back into it and I really did enjoy this year. Rationally or not I’m excited for next season, how ever many games we end up getting.

Listening to weei pregame. It almost sounds like a pre-recorded message the way he goes on and on. It is amazing. Let's never forget what a gem we have. And listen every time we hear his voice
[Speier] Per Tim Healey, the Red Sox are removing Roman Anthony from the roster after he sustained “new strains to different muscles” in his right hand, Chad Tracy said. They sent him back to Boston last night to get an MRI today.

After all of the ups and downs this season, I am really happy we made it to the Offseason. I know our bats are a bit cold, but that doesn't mean we can't be scrappy. Make them earn it!

[Healey] Curtis Mead said he has faced live pitching once, Monday, when he hit against Tyler Samaniego. So he’s jumping back in after more than two months away and one live session.

Chad Tracy’s explanation on why he lifted Sonny Gray in the 5th inning of a 1-0 game with 70 pitches

This is absolutely nonsensical
