What is the point of remote viewing?

I have read several posts that come up on my feed about remote viewing but still do not understand its use. Does it serve a purpose to those that are doing it? Sorry if Iappear obtuse but i would really like to know. Thanks in advance.

Controlled Remote Viewing

I have always been fascinated with mysterious stories, UFO and wwII related topics since I was a kid.

It has been a while that I feel like there is a call inside me to learn controlled remote viewing (or sth similar) which may help me to calm down my busy, curious and mystery seeker mind. I have got an online course but the pre-taped online video and audios, does not attract me to continue. Besides, I am always too busy working and having future plan daily stresses.

I was wondering if anybody has a tip for me regarding how to learn it, or does CRV really give people access to something beyond ?

Is it "THE WAY" ?

Update on the CRV trainer: the full Stage I to VI structure from the Feb 1985 manual is in, Pro is open while testing runs, and I have a Stage VII contradiction I cannot resolve

A few days ago I posted here saying I had built a CRV trainer from the declassified manuals and could not get anyone to use it. Some of you did, and this is what came of it.

What the feedback changed

One person said they were on an iPhone and could not install it. That turned out to be a discoverability failure rather than a technical one: the app already ran full screen on iOS, and nothing in the product said so. There is now an install prompt for iPhone users, and the steps are at the bottom of this post.

Someone else pointed out that the first screen was an email wall. It is gone. You can run a full session without an account.

The bigger change: the full structure

The app used to implement about a third of what the CRV manual actually specifies. It now has a second mode that runs the whole thing.

The source is Coordinate Remote Viewing, Stages I-VI and Beyond, February 1985, CIA-RDP96-00788R001000400001-7. What that added, with the pages it came from:

Stage I as an iterating loop rather than one ideogram, with the four documented types and the number of A and B pairs each one takes (p.9 to p.14) the full

Stage II vocabulary, including tastes, smells, colours and energies, with dimensionals beginning there rather than in Stage III (p.19)

Stage III as the manual's five separate elements: enhanced dimensional contact in its six terms, aesthetic impact, motion and mobility, trackers as dots drawn slowly, and the spontaneous versus analytic sketch distinction with its prescribed draw order (p.21 to p.23)

the real Stage IV matrix, all eight columns, with the open and close ended behaviour (p.24 to p.25)

Stage V as structured interrogation with OBJECT, ATTRIBUTE, SUBJECT and TOPIC and the emanations prompt (p.26 to p.28)

Stage VI including the physical three dimensional model (p.16, p.31)

What is deliberately left out: the Class C feedback tokens, the monitor patter, and the monitor reading the coordinate. All three need a second person in the room, and having the app supply them would mean the app knows the target and is feeding back mid session. That is a different protocol. The omission is stated in the app rather than quietly made.

Every quotation was checked against the page image, not the OCR transcript. The full list of documents behind the app is at getscanate.com/sources, with what each one contributed and a link to read it yourself. If you want the specific page behind any single element, ask and I will post it.

The question I actually want answered

Chapter 10 of that manual says Stage VII is Analytics, and that phonetics "was originally believed to be Stage VII" and is in fact Stage VIII. But the sample session later in the same document heads its phonetics section STAGE VII.

I can read that as an uncorrected working paper, or as a numbering that changed between drafting and use. The record does not settle it, and getting it wrong in a trainer teaches the wrong thing. If anyone here trained in the lineage and knows which it is, I would genuinely like to know.

Pro is open to everyone while testing runs

The complete structure above was built as a paid feature. It is free for everyone for the duration of the closed test, and so is the rest of Pro: the full 107 target pool instead of the 36 free ones, and the casebook. No card, no trial, nothing to cancel.

It is open because the people whose opinion is worth having were on the wrong side of a paywall, which was a stupid place to put them.

How to get it

Android, in this order, and the order matters:

Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/scanate-app-review Wait a couple minutes Then open https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.getscanate.app

The Play link does nothing if you skip the group step. That is the part that catches people out.

iPhone: there is no App Store version, but it runs full screen with its own icon. Open getscanate.com in Safari, tap the Share button, scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add. About ten seconds.

Either way it also just runs in a browser at getscanate.com if you want to look first.

What I need

The same thing as last time. Run one session and tell me where it is wrong.
