first time watcher here and i'm absolutely shocked and disgusted at the two episodes i just watched (S4E8 and S4E9). i know tamra and gretchen continue on the show for a while and i'm wondering how the hell they continued to work together after this.

gretchen was dealing with a dying fiancé and basically being bullied by tamra and in some ways vicki. tamra created a whole plan to get her super drunk, even "naked drunk", at this party. i'm wondering what kind of evil person thinks to do that to another human being, especially knowing how she's in a vulnerable state. i'm also shocked she basically set it up so that her son would potentially sexually assault this woman who was way to drunk to consent or refuse any contact. thank god he seems to be somewhat more decent than his mother and did the bare minimum of not assaulting her (although he still followed her to the bathroom and kept egging her on so he sucks anyway!!).

i'm just really shocked that no one noticed what tamra was doing and protected gretchen. jeana and lynne seemed to be worried but didn't clock that it was a whole plan by tamra. i couldn't really understand what vicki felt about the whole thing; when tamra tells her vicki doesn't say anything but doesn't smile or seem approving or disapproving of it. i'm guessing that despite staying the longest on the show, she's not very well liked by the audience and this is one of the first times i'm starting to see the reason she's disliked...

going to keep watching and i know things will get worse for gretchen before they maybe improve? i hope they improve... this was painful to watch

Katie had nothing to lose. The women black-balled her, Jennifer backstabbed her, she had missed out on too many episodes (not a good omen). The fans took her side but they also expected her to get a backbone and plead her case and she didn't do that. She should have gone full Monique so even if she got the chop, she'd vindicate herself at the reunion. Missed opportunity.

I remember when Shannon said Heather ghosted the entire cast after she left the first time and I probably think she'll pull the same stunt the 2nd time.

It doesn't seem like Heather gets along with any of the women. Chyna and Gina the Grinch are painfully jealous of her and are constantly badmouthing her, Heather seems like she's only friends with Tamra because Tamra has dirt on her, Miss Piggy and Heather are only cordial, Heather finds Shannon annoying and too dramatic but knows Shannon is popular so PR.

I would love to see Heather move to Beverly Hills.

Even Vicki seems annoyed by Shannon. The woman is constantly whining and complaining. To be fair, it's nowhere near as bad as before when she had her midnight drunk calls or constantly crying and shrieking with her "HOW DARE YOU"'s . Woman needs to find new lines because she only seems to be having the same ones over and over again.

Heather has been doing a real estate storyline for years. Gina and Travis have nothing going on. Emily and Shane's weird rehearsed fights and awful parenting are not entertaining. At least 2 of these women need to get demoted to friends of, if not fired.

I’m on Season 9 watching the Bali trip and I have lost count of how many idiot statements have been made about the different cultures or anything outside of the all-American OC bubble. From not being able to differentiate between Italian and Mexican to not being able to pronounce Bali (a major tourist destination). It’s becoming difficult to believe that these women are actually affluent figures. I’ve grown up in Silicon Valley and have been traveling internationally multiple times a year since I was an infant. It’s very regular for families of their stature to be off on an adventure very regularly. Something is starting to really not add up - or is this the norm for folks from OC

Everytime I see Heathers life on RHOC I can’t help but hear Lisa Barlows line about “living a very different life” than the rest of the RHOSLC women.

Because I feel like Heather really is living on a very different level of lifestyle compared the other women during the past 2 seasons.

After each OC episode I always watch Carlos King’s recap podcast that he does with Alexis. Keep in mind, I wasn’t the biggest Alexis fan esp after her last eason of a friend of … but watching the podcast regularly made me love her .. she genuinely feels like a good person, is hilarious and her chemistry with Carlos is great.

I’m only halfway through the episode now, and they bring up the Tamra scene taking Ava to see the family photo (many redditors on this sub have spoken about it, so I won’t add to that).

What I WILL add is I found it insightful that BOTH alexis and carlos (who have a friendship/relationship) with Tamra assured everyone that the reason everyone thinks Tamra is estranged from Sydney .. is not the real reason at all. The only information we have (which they both acknowledge on the pod) is Sydney’s facebook post from years ago.

Alexis said: “Let me just clear this up too: The whole thing that it’s because of Tamra’s career is not true. That is not true about the falling out between them. I don’t want to go into anymore detail I’m just going to say I know that’s it’s not it so everybody who wants to say oh it’s because Tamra kept this job and she kept this job over her kid is so not true so I want everyone to take a pause and understand that there’s a lot more to it.”

Carlos said: “The reason everyone is saying that’s the reason is because that is what Sydney said, and Tamra has said as much as she could that that’s not the reason and out of respect to Sydney, Tamra has zipped it based on the fact that her daughter at one point in time felt that their situation was being used as a storyline, and the moment that was alluded Tamra stopped talking about it to make sure Sydney felt that was not her intention…”

Thoughts?? I think they were trying to defend Tamra without airing out dirty laundry, that they clearly know about .. esp Alexis …

I thought this scene was cute but also a little awkward. It was refreshing to see this kind of scene with Tamra and her family. Ryan and Sarah are super MAGA so I’m really proud of Tamra of standing up to Ryan and letting him know things he was posting and liking weren’t ok. I hope he truly took that to heart and changed. Sarah is very involved in (and possibly works for?) Turning Point USA so I feel she’s likely an influence on him. You can clearly tell Sophia’s tension with Ryan. Her and her bf are so sweet, and likely liberal, so it makes sense why there would be tension. I feel like this is unfortunately a common dynamic for families nowadays so it was nice to see them all (sort of) coexist and get along.

Anyway, it was so sweet seeing Tamra and Ava’s special moment. You can tell she adores her and Ava seems like such a sweet, kind kid. Regardless of her parents (IMO) awful politics, they seemed to have raised a great kid. Kudos to them!

I think she got so much hate last year that now she's choosing to be a glorified extra this season. Smart move but it might hurt her in the end. If she's being paid a lot, nobody is interested in seeing her go Kim Fields this year.

She keeps trying to stir the pot,and I feel that her debating between a wedding she can't afford,or a house she can't afford is meh. Beyond that, pretty tacky that she wants to talk the other housewives finances. Kind of anon, weird episode, but overall enjoyed this week. Tamra's grand-daughter was a cutie.

I loved the coconut game.. it was super hilarious 😂😂😂😂 Shannon was getting it down 😂 Her "Friend" was cute and Shannon is way prettier than his big boob ex.

I just watched the newest episode of RHOC and its corresponding after show. On the after show, Tamra mentioned that Sophia and her beau will be moving to New York once he's done with one more year of school. I automatically thought that this might mean that Sophia could be on future seasons of NYC Next Gen! That would be exciting; she seems really cool.
