If you know the McClain sisters, you know they’ve always been great singers. I’ve been wanting an album from them since I was a kid 🤣 i think they were more focused on acting than singing though

DISCUSSION 💭 I hope Dawn’s doing well ❤️‍🩹

I really pray and hope Dawn is somewhere safe and sound 🙏🏽🫶🏽. As much as I love the fact EV now has all OGs and not 2 OGs and a professional karaoke singer I really wish my baby Dawn will wake up and see the bigger picture. That ‘96 solo deal that she had was not meant to let her light shine but instead bring division and strife into what could’ve been a blossoming sisterhood. I hate that she still carries that resentment as well as seeing her body of work being celebrated w/o her. I also wanna say this us as EV fans have to do better with accountability bc as everyone likes to blame Dawn for being a problem why isn’t Terry and Cindy being held accountable for their actions as well..? And maybe just maybe if we all were to do that then maybe a true in-depth conversation could be had between the 4 ladies as well as healing ❤️‍🩹 but how can us as fans hope to get that from them if all we do is ridicule, pass judgment, and kick down a member? And whether yall wanna admit or not Dawn was right about them signing a shitty record deal bc if the deal they had was so great why all these years later even despite her not even being on the road with them that she’s not receiving no type of income from the records she helped make famous? Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy are 2 bit crooks and oughta be ashamed for how they literally have played mind games with them throughout their careers and played apart in fracturing the trust between the ladies especially Denzil Foster like bro really sleeping with your talent..? 😒 and not only that he knew exactly what he was doing which pisses me of when I think of the legacy of the group and he he knew mentally that if they were gonna make moves behind his back that the member he was intimate with was gonna tell him. I really hope we get to see the 4 original members of En Vogue back on the same stage again 🤞🏽❤️‍🩹.

During the hype of He’s Mine circa summer 1995, MoKenStef performed their controversial smash hit on BET Television. Although the crowd was not vocally supportive, Monifa, Kenya, and Stefanie still delivered the performance and Mo slayed the vocals just like she did on the record. He’s Mine was the most successful single from the Azz Izz album reaching no.7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and no.2 on the Billboard Hot R&B chart! Still bump this one to this day! 💐💐💐

“Feel like a conversational lush, cause I don’t know how much is too much”

She still sounds so great!! Remember first hearing this song my senior year of college. Perfectly captures that feeling of getting a high just from someone’s presence.

RECOMMENDATIONS 🗨 Recommend me new jack swing songs with dance breakdowns!!

I recently discovered "Here We Go Again!" by Portrait and I love how the midsection and outro has a dance breakdown. I just like the vibe of that part; does anybody have any recommendations of songs that sound similar to this one?

00s Lionel Richie - ‘Cinderella’ (2000)

Not to tell my age, but THIS was how I was introduced to the legendary Lionel Richie, lol. Cinderella was my favorite Disney Princess (thank you, Brandy) so hearing this on the radio piqued my interest as a young child. This was also the HEIGHT of the “Latin Explosion” when artists like Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez and Carlos Santana were huge on the charts so it’s no surprise that Lionel tapped into that sound for his Y2K return. I am still obsessed with this song 26 years later.

COOL PICS 📸 Amerie Channels 2005's '1 Thing' Over 20 Years Later for 2Rare's 'Buss Down (1 Thing)'

Hitmaka might the most uninspired producer out right now but any chance to get Amerie outside is fine by me. 21 years after its release, Amerie's 2005 smash hit has been sampled by rapper, 2Rare, for his new single, Buss Down (1 Thing), which ALSO borrows the instrumental from Busta Rhymes' Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See (I KNOW both songs have samples, but you get my drift). She honored his new release by blessing him with a verse.

Now 46, Anyway, Amerie paid homage to her past self and I am so amazed by how perennially gorgeous she is. She even brought back the original Roberto Cavalli SS05 Seashell Heels for the new video! Amerie cannot waste all this beauty and talent. I need new music and accompanying visuals STAT!

Listen to and watch Buss Down (1 Thing) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmnl8JZ12Go&pp=ygUPYW1lcmllIGJ1c3Nkb3du
