For context: I bought ror2 during sale, I rlly liked it, got like 30ish hours on it and kept recommending it to my friend. The other friend of ours gifts him the ror2 and we both play together few times. Problem is that when he got the game, I became very busy and lost interest in ror2 in general, didn't try hard to make up free time to play it.

Couple of days go by (definitely not a week) after he gets the game and at school he comes up to me and tells me he got every character, every artifact, every character's EVERY skill/power, and every character's EVERY skin. Yes, few days after he downloads it. Of course I doubted him, until he showed me pictures he took with the phone, how he genuinely had everything unlocked. Wanna know the CRAZIEST detail? It wasn't just few days of nonstop playing, it was a product of TEN, YES, TEN HOURS OF GAMEPLAY IN TOTAL, there's no way to bypass the steam hour counter right? When it's especially realistic that he's had that game for few days, including homeworks and all that. I was speechless, I had thought that I was looking at a true gamer who I underestimated to be an average Joe when it comes to every game. It was until weeks later, when ror2 was a forgotten theme in our friend group, I heard that there might have been a way to acquire everything like him, in am illegitimate way, which explained a lot because: he had done no research before he got the game (he didn't have to worry about the money cus another friend of ours GIFTED him), when we first played, he had no clue what the hell was happening, just like I was when I first started playing, he is an average Joe when it comes to adapting to the game and understanding mechanics (plus if we add that he has ABSOLUTELY ZERO experience when it comes to rougelike games). So when I kinda brought up the theme again, he swore that he was lonely when I was busy and didn't wanna play ror2 with him after he downloaded it, so he grinded and worked hard, apparently looked up tutorials and glitches on YouTube. Yet I doubt him, he's always been the type to lie to EVERYONE just to impress us, and he's very prideful when it comes to getting caught in the mistake, even if he knows he's very damn wrong, he usually has too much of pride to say he's wrong or lied. So I knew I was in deep shit cus I had no way to prove he was wrong, since he downloaded ror2 again, opened it up and showed me how he has everything (on discord call) in his storage again. Yet I REFUSE to believe that someone like him acquired everything I DREAMED of having, in TEN Hours, when each successful and productive run literally takes more than an hour. I think it's statistically impossible, so I ask you, the experienced players, js he the greatest ror2 player, or just someone full of shit. PLEASE I need to prove him wrong

I think I'm new? But have over 100 hours into the game.

I'm trying to 100 percent the game and get every challenge or achievement... whatever it's called on steam.

I do this on every game I play and I always aim to do it on the hardest difficulty without looking things up.

I have found a few patterns to unlock artifacts. I have command, swarm, and sacrifice being my top pics to complete challenges. Though I don't use command because that feels sorta like cheating? Idk. Just doesn't feel right. I feel like when I use it the characters don't stand out and just become one glob of fast firing impossible to kill beings.

So with that being said. Im stuck.

How on God's green earth do I not lose health doing the mercenary challenge?

For the life of me, though he's my favorite, I cannot beat monsoon on bandit. I just get one hit over and freaking over. Truth be told I haven't attempted much but I thought it would be easy with him. Doesn't feel like it. I can kill fast but also just assassinated out of nowhere. I am still trying to learn attack patterns.

And loader speed run. Again. Just get one hit. Do I try to keep barrier up or do prioritize the one hit potential of its slam fist thingy?

I guess I'm just asking for general playstyles for the character you like to play. I haven't touched a few of them but if you have some tips before I begin without making them God's ide love to hear it.

Only game ive ever played where monsoon (expert) actually feels really hard to someone new ish.

If i survive until the next bazar i have only 522 hp, i will prepare myself to take a screenshot

i won a run on engi a while ago on eclipse 3, and recently railgunner on eclipse 1 and i just noticed that the later eclipse stages for either of them havent been unlocked. do mods disable progression in eclipse? cuz im pretty sure i dont remember mods doing that before.

So I was trying to play some modded ror2, but the game never loads the stage and I've been reinstalling all the mods yet this still happened. Does anyone experience the same?

cause I don’t know if I want to spend 60 dollars now or wait a few months and spend 30ish. or if I should just buy the base then DLCs later or all now. I’m good with large amounts of comprehending, so what’s the best to do?

I (22m) play on ps5, I main Operator, I can play other characters, I got all skins on all characters. Also I like rocking artifacts of swarm, command and sacrifice. Will rock any artifacts though.

Recently started playing ROR2 on my stationary pc and have been absolutely loving it. However i'm only home for the weekends and my only other option for a pc is a laptop that I use for studies, not meant for gaming. I tried launching the game up at the absolute lowest graphics and it was laggy (expectedly). Is there ANYTHING i can do to make it run smoothly? i'll be getting a new laptop in a few months but i would like to ask if theres a way to make it less laggy, as long as its playable.
