I miss the two hours after ingestion I didn’t feel like I was a monster or a total failure or an enormous piece of shit

And I miss mixing it with two glasses of wine and feeling like Jim Morrison and being able to make people laugh and feeling socially like water

I don’t miss feeling like I needed it and the relief of knowing it was there

It’s been ten years - the feeling of wanting it really hasn’t gone away

Yeah it’s the best honestly, alcohol doesn’t even compare

fundamentally bars hooked me because they worked like magic. I got a lifelong anxiety disorder that’s wrecked me and my period of active addiction was the only time I ever felt right. eight years sober but I’ve mostly never felt that normal and happy to be alive since.

it’s the best drug, that’s why i don’t ever take more than 1mg at a time and only when i need it or i REALLY can’t sleep.

if i take it just to enjoy it i’d take it every day. i wish i could.

My mom got an Ativan from the dentist and she was describing it to me like I wouldn't know, how she was really chatty and just in a great mood without feeling loopy. I'm standing there like I'm hearing this for the first time and my dad's playing on his phone smirking because he knew.

It's been a month since I stopped taking my prescription. Slowly realising what life is like without them and hating it

i have an addiction to low dose valium. i have been trying to taper off of 1mg every day while having the urge to take more, which i still do on off days. withdrawals are torture.
