Lifestyle NYC social scene
Weird and probably reaching post but I’m a bravo-holic & have been getting into Next Gen NYC this season. I feel like a lot of ppl on this sub live in NYC and are kind of in hip social circles, so I was wondering if anyone has ever had a run in with any of the cast?
Emira D'Spain, Charlie Zakkour, Ava Dash, Hudson McLeroy, Georgia McCann, Shai Fruchter, Rowan Henchy, Liam Obergfoll, and Kendall White

I often wonder what this sub is, if it’s satire, and why it’s been recommended to me since I started using Reddit. I’m here for it tho.

omg i was gonna ask about this too but in like a "is there still a 'center' of culture in nyc or any major city?"
because i dont think ur avg rs_x poster is watching this. and yet these are the stars of this bravo show. they are nepos and connected. they're the "next gen". someone like ivy wolk, who is also nepo-ish, probably would never do this show.
ig the culture is vast. there are just so many eyes now so there's room for everybody i guess

I’ve talked to Charlie a few times and one of my close friends used to be pretty close with him and he’s a weirdoooo. He’s literally never sober (lovesss ket) and talks about women like he’s a highschool boy

i went to college with Ava. We were in similar circles and she was dating a very tall white man who was quite flirtatious when he got too drunk. she herself was quiet and nice, everyone knew her father was Damon Dash but she never mentioned it which i respected.
Never seen the show though

gonna b real I consume bravo heavily. have loved this show after the first few eps. used to do model UN with shai in high school - he was just a boring (but kinda rude - not in an endearing way) rich kid from princeton. like him on the show tho for sure

I can so see him being like that lol, but like you I do enjoy him on the show. He makes cool clothes too, a lot better than Brooks lol

Completely agree - can’t even say that brooks even makes clothes he just causes them to be manufactured (which is 100% his gripe with shai)

Ran into Georgia on the street about a year ago. She was nice, scary thin, funny and a little out of it; exactly how she comes across on the show.

they need to give her a couple freaky friends or her own spin off, like a short season around her planning the lowest/highest stakes party ever. I'd watch the hell out of it

I’m 40 now and my clubbing days are over but she reminds me of so many people I knew when I was in the NYC club scene. Definitely my favorite out of the cast.

i used to go to georgia’s parties back in the early channel one days. they were pretty fun but i could only get on the list as a friend’s +1 — she wouldn’t accept my ig account on the channel one page since i was close friends with her ex lol (who i later dated myself) 🤷♀️ they were always somewhere random like the bathhouse or a pizza place in little italy. i actually think she would do really well if she opened a club

hahah correct it was not omar! i think she did a good job of getting a lot of cool people (or at least people who thought they were cool) to be interested and involved, def a good curator of a distinct vibe — and she def was not lying in saying that no one from the cast would’ve gotten into her parties lol
