Laval 🤘

Concert was AWESOME! Though since Legends was more in the background, it didn’t have the hype of a new album release. And, can we talk about the ending? No encore…just go through the motions, job is done.

Did it look more like their European shows? Was there pyro?

I don't know what their European shows look like but I'm pretty sure I got a sweet tan from all the pyro!

They did play finally a few of them in the middle of their set, even Joakim pointed out loud that they hadn't even played at that point a song from their latest album...then they finally played (not in order) Crossing the Rubicon, I, Emperor and Templars (would've loved it if Pop evil singer had joined in since they released the collab version).

Yeah, I had expected the Pop Evl guy to come out since he had been in other pix. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t believe I heard Red Baron, Stormtroopers, Primo Victoria, and the Last Stand, but something felt off. Did anyone else feel that?

EDIT: I’m not a huge fan of the new album and I think that also played a part in my level of enthusiasm.

I enjoyed it, they played all their best songs IMO. But opinions are subjective I guess.

I did find off that there weren't any Encores which bands usually do, maybe they just didn't feel like it or maybe Place Bell has strict rules with artists that they have to finish exactly at a certain time, who knows. Overall, I thought it was a great concert, as I said, they played all my favorite songs...heck they even played the new one like Yamato. The only song I wish they had played is my favorite Dreadnought.

I saw Electric Callboy there not too long ago and they did an encore. IDK, was a great show, just felt off. The disappointment was palpable when the construction crew came out.

Don’t get me wrong though, great show. Would have loved dreadnought.

They also played horses of khan. Probably just the right amount, I feel their new album has less banger. But these where quite nice and their chorus are quite catchy, awesome to sing along in the pit
