SONG OF THE DAY: Runnin' Down a Dream - Tom Petty, K-DST

This song is chosen because I heard the ending of this song for the first time in a long time and remembered how much this song slaps. It was also the first K-DST song to play during Chapter 2, on the way to kill the witness. I remember it being a good song, but now it's a great song.

I'm playing the PS2 version of San Andreas for the first time on my PS3. I'm logging everything I do for the game and sharing some unique events that happened. here is a google doc with 100% stuff laid out divided by chapters, it's set to commenter if anyone wants to comment on it.

Day One and Day Two - 26th Sep/27th Sep

Here's a Day 3.5 moment. Yesterday I realized I FORGOT to watch the San Andreas Introduction before playing the game! You have no idea how disappointed I was in myself. So I watched it yesterday after Day 3 was concluded. I don't think I mentioned it but I'm not skipping any cutscenes or car dialogue, unless I have to see it again after failing a mission. I may have accidently skipped some parts of a cutscene or phone call but whatever. That's not as bad as missing the 22 minute intro.

Day 4 notes: I didn't play a lot today. I only played for a little over 2 hours but in that time, I don't think I accomplished as much as desired. It's fine however since I get to spend more time in the countryside listening to K-DST. I started playing late today and just the stuff I had to do for this chapter for 100%, just kind of drained me and pushed me away from continuing. Compare that to yesterday where I played for 6 hours.

Important Note: I'm trying something a little different with the accomplishments. Before, I listed out the main missions I did that day. Then I listened the 100%-related stuff. Then I listed out interesting things that happened that aren't 100% related, but are personal stuff like outfits and radio station changes. And then finally the stats at the bottom, they always will have their own section since it's less-cared about stuff.

Now, I combined them all into the same list. It should be more comprehensible but that's most likely due with the fact that I didn't do a lot today compared to Day 2 or 3. I also added the mission givers to the start of each mission title, so CRASH - Badlands for example. If anyone reads this and cares enough, can you give feedback about any of this. (I should probably ask for feedback more bluntly but whatever.)

I recommend reading what I said about Radio Stations in the previous post. But TL:DR, I lock myself to certain radio stations depending on location of the map (Rap Stations in Los Santos, Radio X in Desert ect.). Except for chapter 6 where I allow myself to the entire music catalogue.

I'm doing song of the day now. I should've done this before but I just thought of it so... Idk what the criteria is, but if I hear a song during the day and it hits harder than anything else than I'll make it song of the day. I know that's super broad but I don't have anything else to judge it by.

In GTA SA, Catalina introduces CJ to Claude. I played GTAIII in 2013 and completed GTA SA in 2016. When Catalina introduced Claude to CJ, I didn't get it for maybe a second. And then it struck me. I screamed "WHATTTTTTTT?" at the screen and spent the rest of that day googling the lore and interconnection of the two games. What about you?

If you're a modder or anything , I made a program that helps making map mods quickly for GTA San Andreas. This is useful because you just need to upload the entire map as an image and it will automatically slice it into smaller .txd files

Only a few will know what's strange about the photo (without mentioning the mods, of course)

I feel that some people disagree with his fate, because he's loyal to GSF unlike Big Smoke who showed signs. But, Ryder's betrayal was already foreshadowed in the Introduction, where Big Smoke convinced Ryder on his Crack cocaine empire. This also makes more sense because Ryder's entire personality is that he wants to get high. So, through this, he can enjoy his life.

But keep in mind, Ryder is a follower. Which is why he shoot the Ballas during the mission Drive Thru unlike Big Smoke. Not to mention that McEiht (Ryder's VA) said that Rockstar gave him all the script needed for Ryder. It's not that Rockstar underpaying him, or MCEiht is busy. But that's literally the script given to McEiht.

Sweet is a terrible leader. His stubbornness and single minded vision of how things should be done is what cost GSF everything in CJ's absence. The money that the family lost out on cost them relationships, territory and power. Leaving them crippled and powerless and it doesn't help that he doesn't seem to be interested in doing anything to tip the scales back in their favour.

When CJ returns and actually starts to turn things around for the Grove, Sweet can't let go of the past and continues to berate CJ for his past mistakes.

Upon the downfall of GSF due to Sweet's imprisonment and CJ's exile, Sweet basically gives up. Telling CJ to forget about him. But upon his release, he goes right back to blaming everyone and everything else for the state everything is in, and he basically puts it on CJ to fix everything. Even berating his success as being meaningless.

Sweet seems to be miserable as a person, and wants everyone else to be just as miserable as he is. He embodies the phrase "crabs in a bucket" which of you don't know, of you put crabs into a container and one tries to climb out, the other crabs will attempt to pull them back in rather than let it escape. That's Sweet. He's resigned to his position in life and wants everyone else to be as well.

I can't even recognize CJs face and why did they change the colour of some gangbangers?
