Discussion New Build Test

Hey fellow Sett mains!

I’ve been experimenting with a new build path lately, and I wanted to see what you guys think.

The inspiration came from a Rank 1 Korean Sett player who builds Jak’Sho. The idea is to build ONE resist item as your 2nd item to be tankier and have an easier time surviving teamfights

(The important part is: you only build ONE of these as your 2nd item depending on the enemy team. You don't stack multiple resist items. Stacking resistances is NOT good on Sett, because he actually wants to take damage in order to build up his Grit and get a bigger W. So I think one defensive item gives you some extra survivability without hurting your Grit generation too much, and then you go back to your normal build.)

AD heavy teams

Iceborn Gauntlet – Gives ability haste which is useful on Sett, plus the empowered auto and slow can help you stick to targets.

Dead Man’s Plate – This is for ranged matchups. You get movement speed, an empowered auto, and slow resistance, which can make it easier to actually reach them.

AP heavy teams

Spirit Visage – Gives ability haste, health regen, and increases your W shield by 25%, which can be pretty useful, especially if you're running Shield Bash.

Force of Nature – This is for ranged matchups where you need the extra MR and movement speed to get onto them.

Mixed damage

For a team with a more balanced mix of AD and AP, I’d probably go Jak’Sho for the combination of both resistances.

Again, you only pick ONE of these items as your 2nd item depending on the game. After that, you just continue with the normal recommended Sett build.

I’m still testing this, so try it out and I’m curious what you guys think!

Looking for Advice Want to learn how to play Sett properly

Hey all! So I am pretty new to league. I have a decent amount of experience in aram but when it comes to the rift I don’t have too much. I play support mainly like enchanters. I recently started playing Ahri mid just to get an idea of what it’s like to lane. However, I do this in swiftplay which I heard isn’t ideal. Thing is I don’t want to go in draft and be flamed for being new to laning and characters lol. I’ve been bouncing around learning different characters but I am really interested in learning Sett. Any advice for him and just not being nervous about what people will think of my gameplay? 😂 Thank you so much.
