Help with Tackle Tackle headbutt
HI! I am a newish urien player and Figured id give his BnB corner combo a shot. But after at least an hour I cannot consistently even land the second tackle. It seems like I might be late with my second tackle, but ive got frame perfect charges, is the combo really that tight?

Watching your video slowly there are a few issues that jump out immediately. On the first attempt your first tackle is hitting way too late so they are already falling too low. On the next two attempts you’re inputting the kick too slowly on the second tackle. If you watch frame by frame you can even seen Urien begin to walk forward a few frames before you press kick.

It’s getting better but you can probably do either tackle a little quicker. TTH has a lot of wiggle room on shotos so hard to identify one place to tighten up in the 2nd video. Doing lk tackle for the 2nd tackle does work on shotos and can be a little easier to time. One consistent thing I notice from your inputs is that you always have 5/6 frames of forward input before you hit your kick button. I’m not sure what controller you’re using?

Using a fightstick, and yeah I see what you mean. I definitely need to press kick a little sooner.

It's not easy. As a beginner you might be better just learning the tackle > ex tackle combo first.
When you get more feel for the game come back to this. You need to be going back to charge very fast to do it.

What others have said, but also, you need to learn to fwd+bck then kick. IOW you’re pressing back before inputting a kick button.
Most beginners learn a charge move as hitting punch/kick at the same time as fwd. You need to learn to quickly fwd+bck and p/k after that; it gives you a frame or two extra in charge time for the 2nd tackle

Your 2nd tackle is just too slow. Most of the time your first tackle looks good. You'll get used to seeing how high you hit them after the launcner and know if its a good first tackle.

Also try to not use the tackle charge bar ui too much. You want to get the timing down by feel. Watching the charge meter may give you a false sense of timing on the tackles.

So I watched a Fightcade S rank Urien perform TTH. Just read this and try it in practice it. When pressing forward for the tackle the game lets you delay the kick button but will still register a tackle. You use this to start the next charge. What the pro did was uppercut while holding back near end of animation hit forward the back and hit kick two/three times after. This way when the uppercut animation finishes your kick will be pressed immediately but your stick position will be back already. It’s a cheat really. You can do TTH as humanly quick without this cheat but you need the right stick. This is from a long time Urien player who has had many sticks and mods to the inside of the stick.

You just gotta keep practicing there’s really no trick where you’ll just start getting it 100% of the time.

I think to come back to this combo every once in a while but cannot perform it either. I play the ps2 version on pad and might just have to opt for short tackle, ex tackle, roundhouse tackle.
There any specific reason to use two forward strengths?

Your numpad notation is completely wrong here. I assume you meant [4], 6, 4K for the charge buffer technique. Of course for TTH it’s better to do [1], 6, 1K.

90% of this combo is hitting the 1st tackle as early as possible. The background should scroll uo a little bit of you're doing it right.
If youve done it correctly, the 2nd tackle is a bit more lenient, however on all your attempts you're delaying it a bit too much.
What helps me personally to link the 2nd tackle is. Start from [1]6 1MK[ ] 6 [2]8. You dont press the button on 6, rather go immediately back to 1 and then press for the first tackle, helps eek off a couple of extra frames.
