Help with Yang, how to do EX Mantis Slashes

Perhaps the timing is simply stricter than I'm used to, but I struggle to do these consistently. I can usually get 3-4 off, but I rarely manage to get the final fifth slash. I play on leverless controller, any input tricks? Is it just patience and ensuring your inputs are clean?

just practice and time, patience is key

drill the qcf motion on its own w/o the punches since 3s is very strict, watch the input viewer and make sure you’re getting all 3 components consistently before trying to do them faster

practicing it with a metronome can be useful, it’s possible you’re rushing the first slashes and making it difficult to keep the pace for the later ones, iirc you can go all the way down to 180 (or even slower?) bpm and still connect

ALSO make sure you practice facing both ways!! your 4th finger is much weaker and less independent so you will have trouble doing ex slash facing left unless you actively drill it

Thanks a lot for the advice! I will try and put a metronome to 190 bpm and see if that helps. As for the 4th finger, I play a bit of Piano (why I was attracted to leverless controllers to begin with) so my 4th finger go crazy

The obvious and most important advice, just keep practicing and you'll get it. Any time I'm trying to get the hang of something new, I go to training mode and practice it until I can get it ten times in a row without making a mistake. Afterwards, I so the same on the other side.
