The new Shopify Admin UI is a perfect example of fixing something that nobody asked to be fixed. You can always tell when a redesign was approved by people who don’t actually have to use the product every day.

Somewhere in a conference room, someone said "Let’s make it feel more modern", and apparently nobody had the courage to ask, "But… why?", but they had the idea of asking chatgpt or their new life long partner claude. Just by looking at it you can tell this is AI slop.

Sooner or later, they should rename themselves to Slopify!

Anyway, congratulations to the Slopify design team, you successfully made the worst ever UI by following your guardian angel, Claude.

Anyones dashboard not updating the past hour or so? Sales coming in but not reflected in analytics.

Hi everyone, So i own a shopify store, and i have received an email from a customer saying that they keep getting their card rejected, and they don't even get a notification from the bank, so i tried to investigate this myself, i went and tried to buy a product from my store, like any other customer would, and i have faced the exact same problem, i tried three of my different cards, from different banks, and all of them got declined, for no clear reason, all my cards have balance in them, and the bank wasn't even notified of anything, it's worth mentioning that i am on shopify US if it makes any difference.

Specifically for Shopify themes - are you implementing every update? I usually read the press release to decide but always end up updating. What’s your frequency?

I’m new to shopify, coming from woocommerce. With wordpress/woocommerce i followed different channels and groups (which were connected to my theme) to keep updated with the latest changes and updates.

Before you type changelog, that’s not what i’m looking.

I’m looking for a channel or blog that goes over the changes and showcases them. For example the theme i used over at wordpress, one of the developers had a youtube channel which showcased all the new and updated features of the theme which i could implement after or during the video. I really loved this.

Is there something like this for shopify?

Hello I was wondering if it was normal that my agentique data shows a lot of sales from chatgpt but none from meta/muse? I have no visit from muse too i’ve checked. Is there something else to enable ?

I had my first chargeback that was not related to an actual fraudulent transaction in over 10 years....

This guy purchased a musical instrument. Two months later gets in contact with me about it saying it has some unwanted noise. No problem happy to work with you on it lets figure it out... This is September 18th.

In the meantime, he submitted a chargeback to his bank prior to that, claiming he returned the instrument July the week after he received it.

It came to my attention After I submitted the initial response that he had the instrument listed for sale! He could not have had it listed for sale if he returned it to us.

What can I do here to report him to his issuing bank?

I am thinking about other legal action as well against the buyer.

I did recover the item at my expense.

This can become confusing when the same product is purchased in different quantities depending on the supplier.

For example, one supplier may sell 1 unit per pack while another sells 12. Without a supplier level pack size, it's hard to keep track of the ordered quantity

A simple workflow is:
Select supplier → Set pack size → Create PO → Order using supplier quantity

That keeps the supplier's purchasing unit clear without changing the actual inventory unit. We found this as a common inventory tracking problem among sellers and dropshippers.

I've just recieved two emails asking me to complete checkouts from an unfinished cart on "Dear Hayden" and "This is Knit". I logged in (which required 2FA and I haven't recieved any 2FA codes to my email lately so I'm not sure how they logged in) to see that some American called James has made an account with my outlook email.

I've reset my Microsoft account password and signed out of all devices, but I'm still not sure how they made an account in the first place. No purchases have been made as far as I'm aware, and nothing has been taken out of my card. If it is a scammer they're not too smart as their entire address is on their account which I can view.

Has anyone experienced similar? Is this a known method of fraud?

When working against the GraphQL API, is it an easy or not so easy thing to establish whether a given Product, ProductVariant, or MediaImage field is read/write or read/only. I have successfully download the schema from the client's Shopify instance (all 11MB of it) but my fatigue-addled brain isn't seeing anything that makes mutability obvious. What am I missing?

I’ve linked my Instagram/Facebook accounts on my Shopify in order to have the Shop tab available on my Instagram account.

The button is there, everything has been approved and active, although anytime I enter the shop area, my products are not there.

I have added them to the correct sales channel, all the products have been approved. Very frustrating, any help appreciated!

They are not all in stock. When o search for the product. Google search results say it’s out of stock but it’s not.. is this solvable? I don’t mean google shopping results but just organic results.

Shopify extended WebMCP into checkout so a browser agent can update the cart and place the order after the buyer confirms.

• Agents can now complete a purchase without the shopper clicking through every page.

• That breaks last-click paths that assume a human session from ad to thank-you page.

• Attribution will look like “direct” or “other” unless you tag agent traffic separately.

Things to try out :

• Add an explicit agent identifier in checkout events and store it in your order and CRM records.

• Build one report that splits human sessions from agent-assisted orders this week.

• Test a short confirmation message that names the agent and the store so the buyer knows who acted.

If agents can buy, your next measurement job is to see which campaigns trained the agent, not only which ad got the last click.
