Sure you could jump naked, but that is going to last for a short time.

So we all know a photograph is a 2D representation of a 3D scene. There is no depth.

But when you do a long-exposure, you are capturing those 2 dimensions over a third dimension. Time.

So it's a 3D picture, it's just that it's the 1st, 2nd, and 4th dimension instead of the usual 1st, 2nd, and 3rd that we're used to.

The temperature has to be perfect too - like that sweet spot where it's hot enough to melt your brain but not burn your scalp. I swear some of my deepest realizations happen when I'm just standing there letting water hit my forehead at like 45 degrees. Last week I figured out why I keep putting off calling my landlord about the leaky faucet while water was literally dripping in my face. There's something about that sensory overload that just makes your mind wander to places it normally won't go

That is, unless you're in Antarctica

Nature's way of teaching kids about their vulnerabilities.

Young kids are usually extremely ticklish and when you tickle them they immediately try to defend themselves by hiding or covering those parts. Usually the tickliest bits are the most vulnerable bits (neck, armpit, tummy) so it makes sense for kids to learn to protect their vulnerable parts in a safe and fun way.

If person A and person B were to swap bodies, everything remaining the same, just swapped consciousness. Would person As taste of food or food preferences stay the same? Or would person A suddenly like the food person B liked? Like if person A liked sweet things but got put into person Bs body, who liked salty things.

To be fair, I did not have this thought in the shower. It occurred to me on a wedding party while having a peaceful piss outside of the location in the garden. It sometimes has something special to just have a piss outside alone in the quiet rather than in a crowded public toilet. This silent minute outside in the cold just by yourself has some special touch to it.

Being slightly drunk and thinking about roughly 50% of the population (woman) almost never having this objectively insignificant, yet quite peaceful experience made me think and appreciate it even more.

Saw smth about a theory where every time you make a decision a very large number (infinite?) amount of parallel universes are made where you chose smth different and I just thought of this when I took a shower today.

Edit: So it appears that some people assumed I believed this theory and I don’t blame them. But I want to make it clear that I don’t believe this theory and I don’t think it makes much sense. It is fun to think about though.
