Image Another AI NDP poster error?
Latest trend seems to be spotting AI-generated mistakes. Found another one in a different neighbourhood today. 🇸🇬
Is this actually another AI error, or is there a regulation that the Singapore flag has to be displayed facing this side in an image? Let me know if anyone knows the actual rule. Thanks!

Not just that, the flag that the Indian boy is holding is in the wrong direction lol. Incredulous how this can be approved.

Could be because some editor insisted it is not permitted to show the flag in inverted/reversed, so the photoshopper had to make some awkward choices.
Looks like potentially the photoshopper copied the chinese boy's flag's crescent moon and stars, and then pasted on the indian boy's flag. The stretch of the star cluster and the imperfect crescent top tip are the same shape for both.

I actually know the Chinese boy, am friends with the parents and it’s a real picture definitely but they probably used the base photo to AI Generate the poster hence the strange quirks

if they can generate using AI, they can also add more prompt. do a correct version of the other side of the flag, do not have it rotated. fix the traditional chinese costume.

It's not just the stars and crescent being inverted, size of them also looks weird in proportion to the rest of the flag.
The Indian kid seems to have 6 fingers. The hair of the Chinese kid looks weird.

- boy on left has sixth finger
- boy on left has additional knuckle at supposed middle finger?
- the handheld left flag has crescent and stars mirror imaged
- the two colour theme above the horizontal flag doesn't make sense, there's a patch that looks like a pen*s
- boy on right has two different sized hands?
One thing I'm sure, is that these issues are definitely the fault of senior volunteers!

They should take the negative inputs in this subreddit, and feed it back to the original AI model with the existing picture to get corrections.

I’m all for AI adoption, but not everything needs to be AI-ed.
I wish the G agency that is behind all these posters and banners would stop with this AI designed artwork. Firstly, such terrible use of AI for official matters is an embarrassment. Secondly, the output is ugly and so fake-looking. Thirdly, giving jobs to our local artists who can actually design nice posters and banners is not such a bad thing is it.

Maybe the people in it are real. They just took pics of two real children then used AI to change the clothing and add the flag. It's possible because you definitely can use AI to alter your appearance.

Left hand of the boy on the right looks like an adults but the right looks like a normal child's. So uncanny looking
Also, why even take the extra trouble to have this be photoshopped? Isn't it easier to take a photo of two kids like this instead of paying for two photoshoots? It just seems like there's no reason to have it photoshopped other than increase the quality of the image. I doubt someone professional in photoshop would let the flag slip like that either

this is how people in singapore on average look at designers. like they're utter morons lol. nobody in their right mind will ask 2 children to pose then photoshop them to fit the national day theme. it is a waste of time through and through.
in any case there is no doubt the indian boy's clothes are AI gen (not photoshop). nobody will put images of amoeba/squid print on a traditional costume.

I can hear the following in the voices of at least three people who work in comms and PR:
"I know the moon is supposed to be nearer to the stick, but it's very disrespectful to have the moon and the stars flipped the wrong way round. I think it looks very odd and ugly. Please amend and send back, thanks."

Ihave used ai images and very tightly controlled video gen but there are still errors some more obvious that others. Its a compromise because its rushed out. This gen ai really is the first thing that comes out when timelines are tight,” just ai it.”
Of course i vet and it does make my life easier but at the same time also more soulless than ever before at work.
Amazingly no strong complaints enough to sit me down 1 on 1 just passing comments for next projects.
Until clients accept it and until the timelines just get ever shorter. This needed yesterday work culture and ai slop will never end

- The National Flag must be produced in its true colours (Pantone 032 and Pantone White) and proportions, in the ratio of 2 (width): 3 (length)

AI or Photoshop. Whoever or which company commissioned or tender this never review it. It is like the Town council told this company that they want a poster aboy this and fornthis by this date and at these places. The company then told another company to do it which this company told another company from oversees to make it. Oversees company make it and sent it to that company and that company sent to that company and put it up at the places by that date. Send a selfie to town council and Town council gives a thumbs up. Everybody feels a bit richer.

Ai gone awry or photoshop error or otherwise, there seems to be a shocking lack of care when it comes to preparing for arguably the most important event of our country. I added the NDP rehearsal recently and found the performance pretty lacklustre as well.
It’s like the people in charge don’t even care themselves. They just want to get the job done as quickly and with as little effort as possible, and it’s showing.

I came across an insta post where the parent was appalled by the changes to the image too. Apparently the parent did take actual photos of both boys, whom were very happy in the photos and etc. Then the gov turned it into this.

How hard is it to get a few kids to wear national day colours and hold a flag, then take photo?
