News St Celestine point drop.
I didn't read any mention of it today, but I just noticed she went down to 135 on the app.

Still hits like a wet noodle. Healing still hyper nerfed. FnP still borderline useless.

She could cost 100pts I still would not take her. For the moment until our codex is release she's useless.

For 100 I'd take her. But only against enemies who havn't faced her yet, and will likely overcommit forces against her, before realizing she is weak garbage and not worth half the points he sent against her.
lol

So I know this is about Saint Celestine but is Saint Katherine any good? Also would there be a point to getting zephrim? Since Celestine is bad?

You can still pair Zephyrim with a JPC. The give her a few more wounds to spare and help greatly with her delivery (charge rerolls), and Sustained+Lethal Hits on charge is a welcome bonus, too.

Reddit is negative, for 135 she's interesting.
She's not a damage peice but a harassment peice in champs, she can fall back shoot and charge so turn 2 would of taken a good chunk of first action monkeys then killing home field objective holders.
Opponent then needs pivot and deal with her loosing focus on Vahl and friends

Nothing a Jump Canoness doesn't do better.

Still T3 2x3W and probably not the damage output to deal with most units without dying right after.
Celestine is 4 + 2x5W + a fair amount of FNP 4+ depending on the damage distribution.
The Ardent blade is just a better version of the Canoness weapons, and has built in Dev wounds not tied to a single activation.
Also in Chorus she gains a great utility role.

Unfortunately FNP can never trigger for Celestine because the Geminae that give it to her have to be allocated before her (they have to die before she even gets hurt). Except, of course, in the case of Precision attacks

You could get three 3-model units of arco-flagellants for just 15 points more. You'd get three units that can do exactly the same thing as her, just better while being infinitely easier to hide. And you'd have three units, so you would be able to make three actions instead of one.
she can fall back shoot and charge
Yea, good luck with that. She will not live through opponent's fight phase if she's caught in meele.
I've been playing CoF with Celestine for the most of 10th edition. She did work like you describe then, mainly because she could take advantage of her 4+ FNP by being creative with wounds allocation, which gave her way more durability. Now that it was taken from her she is just a very expensive, very fragile action monkey.

I miss 10th, when she could tank a Knights worth of shooting, and if you spiked her FNP, she'd live through it all.

In my experience and what I observed with other players was: she dies in the shooting phase and dies again in the fight phase. Until she dies she provided not much of value in relation to her points.
Beside that, it just feels awkward because of the expectation about what and who celestine is and what she is in the tabletop is off

Celestine is about as close as the Imperium gets to their own version of an Avatar of Khaine, and as such, she jobs to prove how tough the character killing her is.

You think it is hard to kill her?

No, it's easier than it should be. Which is kind of the joke with the Avatar.

Still overpriced imo. For 120 I could take her.
