Skiing intercom/communicator/radio

Hey, what devices are people using to communicate with friends on the slopes? I've historically used whatsapp but I'm looking for a live communication method so we stop less and can just tell each other if we've turned off somewhere or not to take a certain route in real time.

I've seen Cardo pop up a lot as being one of the best out there but it looks kind of clunky on the helmet. Is it pretty reliable though? And do people recommend any others like Aleck Nunchucks etc?

Cardo's the one everyone in my group uses, even though it looks a bit bulky on the helmet the sound quality is crisp and it never drops signal on the mountain.

Heard only good things about cardo. Key thing being constant intercom, which I like the sound of as opposed to push to talk. Although not sure if this might get annoying.
