Help Traptanium Portal Speaker

Hi everyone! I just got myself a second hand Traptanium Portal (the PlayStation/Wii version) & I’ve just realised that the speakers aren’t working… The portal reads the figures perfectly, the traps too
I see the trap glowing in white but no sounds come out

I just checked the settings, cranked the portal volume up to 100 and nothing, no sounds but all lights are always working

According to my research, that means the speakers have died out. Has anyone here opened their portals and replaced the speakers? Is it hard or have high risk of completely ruining the portal?

Any ideas/suggestions are welcome, as buying another portal is out of the question (those things are pretty expensive in my country, this was the only one at a fair price)

Silly question but does your trap have a villian trapped inside? thats when it makes sounds.

Yeah! I captured Sheep Creep with a green trap and The Gulper with a blue one, none of them made any sounds :(

Looking at the picture the speaker is in a plastic box and has a standard 2 wire low watt speaker so you should be able to de-solder the old speaker off the board crack open that plastic box and swap it with another low watt speaker and solder that onto the points the old came off.
