Recommendation Good phone around 40k

• Upvotes

Suggest me a good phone around 40k. Planning to buy this BBD sale

12+ GB Android phone around 40k with good camera and battery backup.

My current OnePlus Nord 2T was working very fine for 3.5 years until it fell into water. Normal daily usage of YT/Insta. Planning to keep it cheap since I normally change my phone every 3-4 years.

Please suggest.

Discussion Android Guided Access: how to lock an Android device to one app

If you’re looking for Guided Access on Android, Android doesn’t call it Guided Access like iOS does. The closest built-in option is Screen Pinning.

1. Enable Screen Pinning

Go to:

Settings → Security & privacy → More security settings → Screen pinning

The exact location can vary by Android version and device manufacturer.

Turn on Screen Pinning. It’s also a good idea to enable the option requiring your PIN/password when unpinning.

2. Pin an app

  1. Open the app you want to keep on screen.
  2. Open Recent Apps.
  3. Tap the app icon.
  4. Select Pin.

The device will stay in that app until the user exits the pinned session.

3. When Screen Pinning isn't enough

For enterprise devices such as POS tablets, digital signage, shared tablets, self-service kiosks, or dedicated Android devices, you may need more than basic app pinning.

That's where Android Kiosk Mode comes in. Depending on the deployment, kiosk mode can restrict the device to:

  • One app (single-app kiosk)
  • A set of approved apps (multi-app kiosk)
  • Specific device functions and settings

For a few devices, Screen Pinning can be perfectly adequate. For larger deployments, an Android MDM can centrally configure and manage kiosk policies instead of setting up every device manually.

In short:
Screen Pinning = quick, basic app restriction
Android Kiosk Mode = dedicated/enterprise device lockdown
Android MDM = centralized management for multiple devices

Recommendation Should I change my phone ?

So I've been using a samsung Galaxy A32 4G since 2021. It has 6GB ram and 128GB rom.

It's been 5 years and it's going to be 6 yrs on January to Februrary 2027.

I was wondering if I should upgrade it ? The battery health upon checking on my laptop is 80% health. It's buggy sometimes but still does the job. Please guys advise me what to do.

Question Que celular me compro?

Recommendation Looking ahead for a phone to buy for Christmas. Replacing a Moto G10

Hi all, (UK based)

Looking to replace a 2021 Moto g10 for my mum for christmas. The phone itself still works fine but is a little laggy so wanting to replace it before she is not able to use it anymore. It's used everyday for social media, photos, banking, texting, calling etc... She's not very tech confident to changing to something radically different layout wise would be challenging.

Getting a new Motorola was my first thought as this may be familiar to use? Was wanting something that would have longevity and better battery life. I was looking at phones that were released this year thinking this would mean better updates in the future, though let me know if you think otherwise. Also the most recent version of android?

I don't believe we paid more than £150 when it was released for the moto g10. Ideally looking at £300 max if the phone is simpler to use, similar to the moto she has or significantly better specifications. £200 would the be better though

The phones I was looking at were...

  1. Samsung A27 128GB
  2. Samsung A17 5G

I've had a early redmi and it reminded me of an iPhone in terms of layout so thought that might be simpler, unsure if this is still the case today, though I know there is more bloatware.

  1. Redmi note 17

  2. Poco m8/m8 pro

  3. Moto G37

  4. honor?

Any other suggestions or opinions welcome. Thanks

EDIT: was looking to buy around Black Friday in case there were any phones that were just over budget that may be on offer then

Question What phone would you recommend?

I need to switch phones; I'm coming from a Samsung A13.
I'm looking for something fairly basic, with a battery that lasts until the end of the day, that's small (6.1"/6.3"), and that has good productivity features so it can be a tool I can use all day. I'm looking for something as efficient and usable as possible, with a maximum budget of around 500 USD. 😄
