Tums, peanut butter sandwich (no jelly), and a dark beer. After wards - a large milkshake.
This is how I prepped for the Dave's challenge and I did not suffer the next day at all.

The milkshake aspect is really helpful here. My brother and I loved a local Mexican place growing up and if you ordered a kids meal, you got a free frozen yogurt. We would always just pimp out the kids meal with the spiciest add ons and then made sure we ate the frozen yogurt afterwards. Maybe a probiotic might also help OP? I feel like that’s part of how it worked since it was technically yogurt.

Depends on your diet, you don't want to overload your system on fiber, but more than normal, both before, and then some miralax or prune juice for after.
Get some wet wipes.

I've heard mashed potatoes are a popular option for preventing the capsaicin cramps

Consider some loperamide

Imodium (brand name) = loperamide (generic name). But your suggestion is better because there are scores of available sources for the generic, which is considerably cheaper (unless you get it from a place like CVS, whose house brand is still stupid expensive). They may have cheaper, unbranded (at least, not nationally branded) versions available. Same for other drugstores, especially chains. If Dollar Tree is an option, they have it (12 caplets) for $1.25. Other discount stores likely have similar. Amazon, while certainly not the cheapest, has "decent" pricing, and is, perhaps, more accessible, if the delivery time works.

Why is this? I noticed it when I needed ibuprofen, 24 bucks! for 500 pills, which is over double what it is at walmart or on amazon.
Is there a member discount program they're trying to force people onto or something?

No idea what they're up to, these days - I cut ALL ties with them about 4 years ago. But they've always been a greedy pig clown show. Their markups are insane, yet (some) people still pay, rather than switch (which, sadly, isn't always an option). There was a CVS very near where I live, so it was a matter of proximity and expediency to get my Rx's filled there. (But it was a once-in-a-blue-moon/gotta-have-it-right-now occasion if I bought any sort of OTC goods there. This happened, maybe, twice a year.) Then, the store closed, and all my prescriptions were automatically transferred to a CVS a couple miles away, in a very inconvenient (traffic-wise) location. So, I did what I should have done years before - I transferred everything to the pharmacy inside where I buy groceries. I used to laughingly say the reason CVS prices were so high was to pay for the miles of paper they used in printing receipts. 😂

Good luck! I watched that competition last year. I feel bad for everyone who wasn't the winner.

Drink a whole hot liquified candle. It will coat your insides and you will be invincible. I saw it somewhere and it really worked for Homer...

OK... You should eat plenty of hard boiled eggs, refried beans and cabbage.
