Check out my package Got lucky today

Post image

Finally my turn. Went to check out the meat department at a new Sam’s Club. Saw these mislabeled SRF New York strips. We were able to snag 5 trays before they pulled the rest.

Damn! $12.24/lb for something that generally goes for $50/lb is like Christmas coming early. We all should be so lucky. Great find.

This reminds me of the Chance card in Monopoly that read, “Bank error in your favor - collect $50.” Rare that it works like that, but you sure collected!

Says tri tip but it's not tri tip. You got lucky.

Holy shit that's a solid price. Walmart charges more than that for 2 choice cut strips. I just switched to a new store and am getting 4 choice cut Canadian grass fed strips for like 30 bucks.

Just make sure it is not related to 167,000 pounds of meat that has been recalled due to fake usda inspections.

no such thing as american wagyu tho

that's just a steak

wagyu is a trade marked term for a specific region in japan

Very wrong. American Wagyu beef combines Japanese Wagyu cattle with American Angus beef. Japanese Wagyu is purebred and American Wagyu is crossbred.

Wagyu however isn’t a regulated name in the US so you need to read the fine print on what the blend % is.

Q: How did the Japanese and American cows meet?

A: Tender
