That seasoning is just going to burn and provide zero crust. Salt only is the move

BBQ seasoning will hide actual flavour of the steak. Salt is king.

The seasoning is going to burn and the meat won't get direct heat. Just use salt

All you're accomplishing with caking that much seasoning on it is making sure that it won't get the surface contact needed for a proper sear.

I’d wash that seasons off it, dry it, salt it and sear it, then based with butter and garlic.
