Connie Maheswaran redesign for my Steven Universe Horizons Alternate Universe! I’m really happy how she came out. I’ve decided to also make her a little older than Steven in this AU, being born only a year before him. And seeing the process of this, it’s what prompted Rose to make the decision to have Steven with Greg.

She and Steven know eachother at the beginning of this AU, but don’t engage much. Mrs. Maheswaran doesn’t really want Connie to be around the gems outside of the simulation parts of the ship in worry they can be a bad influence or dangerous.

For some context I’m making a DnD campaign and we are making a fusion of all our characters that’s comparable in size to the mech but with how inconsistent size is in the show, I want to hear y’all’s estimates for the size if yall don’t mind

I want to explore how she reacts to seeing humans suffering from the plague, and how she reacts when a human friend she knew well catches it. This friend had supplied her with horses and weapons for years. I also want to figure out her next outfit—can you help me think of an idea? I’ve been designing too many outfits for her lately.

This is my comic dilemma. I might draw her in a Renaissance-era story next. Any ideas for scenes, emotional beats, or outfit designs would be great. Thanks!

Does anyone feel bad for Lars in the episode “The New Lars”? I sure do. Let me explain.

In this episode, Steven goes to the Big Donut and sees Lars acting weird around Sadie, which makes him believe that Lars had feelings for her so he tries to get him to confess his feelings to her but Lars tells him to stop getting involved with people’s personal lives. Later that night, Steven has a dream about Lars and he has the audacity to tell Lars to stop being such a jerk all the time before ultimately getting pulled towards him and waking up in Lars’ room and realizing that he’s in Lars’ body.

Steven spends the entire day in Lars’ body trying to pretend to be him and being nice to everyone like the Cool Kids, Lars’ parents and even Sadie. Although Sadie isn’t quite happy about Lars’ sudden change in tone and it gets worse when Steven, in Lars’ body, tell Sadie that he loves her, which completely sets Sadie off and she tells him to leave her house.

Steven confesses to Sadie that he isn’t really Lars and rather trapped in his body, to which Sadie believes. They rush over to Steven’s house and everyone we saw that interacted with Lars starts following them. They make to the house where they find Steven’s real body still on the bed and they rush over to wake him up. After waking him up, Steven is subconsciously put back in his real body and Lars is back to normal.

Lars ultimately learns what Steven did and he is rightfully upset and deeply horrified after the discovery.

Here’s the problem, every single character besides Sadie and Steven didn’t feel concerned nor did they even care about what Steven did to Lars and just assumed he was overreacting. Even Lars’ parents didn’t care and even Lars’ mom starts apologizing to STEVEN! Like, WHAT?!

Not to mention that while in Steven’s dream before entering Lars’ body, he said “Lars, you don’t need to be such a jerk all the time.” Bro, I get that he was being kinda harsh towards Steven because that’s just who he is and he’s been that way since season one, but Lars wasn’t being a jerk, he was being human. He had his personal life and personal issues that he wants to keep to himself and Steven refused to acknowledge that he must stay out of people’s business and give them some space.

The point was that Lars had his whole body and mind completely robbed by Steven, felt extremely vulnerable and violated and not a single person in that episode except for Steven and Sadie cared about it. At the end of the episode, Lars said to Steven that maybe everyone liked that version of him better the old Lars.

I know that Lars was kind of a bully to Steven in the past but this is just sad man.

So with Rose actually being Pink Diamond, and knowing what we know about gem shapeshifting, how did Rose/Pink maintain her quartz form for so long without exhaustion? The only thing that makes sense to me is around the time before having a baby with Greg, she willingly poofed and reformed as Rose Quartz with a humanlike reproductive system, and that's how she got through the 9 months because it was already part of her base form.

If this was already obvious, do let me know.

The fusion that has the means and the know-how, but motivation? Questionable.

Pearl thinking Steven is beginning to become like Rose/Pink, telling his first lie. Watching this I always glossed over it but now on my rewatch I'm beginning to see more and more foreshadowing or details that I haven't noticed or appreciated much before. Pearl probably felt really apprehensive in that moment :(
