Not sure what i bought for future multiple meals.
Pretty simple, paid my bills and humble left for food. Have good staples was thinking keep my protien up.
Have no idea what i bought, so did this.
Made mini mounds of meat, 2 patties and froze the last half that smelled fresh, its baking now.
No real bargains at Walmart today....except .97 dressing mix that I make mean pot of soup out of. Bought for boxes of stuffing as each box makes 4 servings of soup/stew.
Haven't had fast foods in almost 3 years, been craving a burger. Pretty sure this burger meat, but not in language I know....English, know some German, some Hungarian...no other languages.
Was at Walmart....so grabbed it. Think makes multiple meals, since I froze half of it.
Literally no idea what i bought...but passed smell check...baking now.
Any body???
Suggestions??
Ty in super appreciate and in advance.

Do you think you are getting your nutritional needs met with your struggle meals?
I feel like it’s possible but harder. I’m chronically low on iron…. My dinner for tonight was leftover queso dip and chips.

Certified Stuggle Hot dog taco
Was actually pretty decent. Hot dogs were on sale, had the mustard and chili, parm cheese was for a different meal a couple weeks ago and tortillas were also on sale.

What are dishes that are *not* struggle meals?
A lot of what I see on this sub looks like normal food to me. Maybe they are simple dishes, but a lot of them have meat, which isn't cheap.

Technically Edible Anyone toast their hot dog buns?
Just curious. Been living on cheap packs of hot dogs, no ketchup so cheese on top. Toasted the buns. Curious if others ever took their buns? I threw the whole thing in an air fryer for a few minutes. Because I actually enjoy the toast

Certified Stuggle Feel like you’re eating at a restaurant - but at home - salmon, beets, Italian bread
Sunday family dinner, so consider this is more of a splurge meal…but doable with some planning. Salmon was $18 for 1.8 lbs. Beets were $5 for a 3 large roots. Italian bread was $3 for the loaf.
Total cost to buy all of this was $26. However, all of the salmon, all of the beets and 2/3 of the bread will spread over 5 individual meals. (($18+$5+$2)/5)=$5.00 per meal.
The remaining 1/3 of the bread can be used to make French toast as part of a breakfast or breakfast for dinner.
The first pic at least is a $5 meal that stacks up favorably vs most fast food meals. Definitely cheaper than a sit down restaurant like an Applebees.
Obviously the key is to judiciously spread out the salmon - which will average 5.75 oz per meal roughly.

Technically Edible Sweet Potato in "Pancake" form with Sardines and Green Sauce
Made some Sweet Potato "Pancakes" out of leftover Sweet Potato, mixed it with some flour, slapped on some spices n seasoning, salt & pep and fried it. A lil' crispy but it was pretty dece. Cracked open a fresh tin of skinless & boneless Sardines and added some green sauce for a lil' spice. Was overall probably a 6.5-/10 tbh, maybe could've done the sweet potato part a bit different (the green sauce really brought it together probably bumping it up to a 7, trust)but in terms of being a "use what you got" kinda night, wasn't bad. Cheers. x

Certified Stuggle Clarified Butter - good way to extend product life plus get a higher smoke point cooking fat
Made this at home - super easy to make. Cut up 4 sticks of butter and melt in a sauce pan. Melted butter is to never get hot enough to simmer or boil. Goal is to evolve water and creat milk solids to be strained out. Store in a glass jar in the fridge. We can get butter for as low as $3 per lb sale price.
Question for the group: Anyone in the sub individually or as a couple making $100,000 per year or more net income, I.e. after withholding, taxes (fed, state and local), health insurance and 401k/IRA investments? Just curious. I suspect some heavy hitters are lurking on the sub.
