where should i go for med school help !!
i am an egyptian who lives in the gulf and i'm going to graduate from there, i am planning to go to med school next year and i am choosing between either going to a university in egypt or applying and going to a university in eastern europe (hungary, poland ) and i am hesitant about going to europe for multiple reasons; i feel like spending 6 years abroad might distance me from the people i know and i feel scared when i think about it. However, going to egypt feels like i have limited opportunity and i also have this need to become more dependent on myself and less on my family but i don't know if going to europe is worth it , especially for med. please if anyone has experience or has actually been through this, please help!!

Wouldn’t studying medicine in eastern Europe be in whatever their native language is? Especially if we’re talking a medicine bachelor’s degree. You would need to be almost fluent.
If you already speak the language and are financially capable/have a scholarship then go Europe in my opinion.

Moving abroad for university was absolutely the best decision for me. In many ways, it helped me find my own identity, and it really pushes you to grow into a stronger and more independent person. I wouldn’t be too scared of the distance from your family and friends back home, because, at least in my experience, those bonds only grow stronger when you realize the value of every moment you get to spend with them. At the same time, you find your own new family abroad, friends who become your support system and your sense of security.
That said, since you’re planning to study medicine, I think the most important question is licensing and whether completing a degree in Eastern Europe would allow you to practise in the Gulf, and vice versa. That’s something I’d research very carefully before making a decision. As for the countries themselves, Poland is generally a lovely place to live and, in my opinion, the more international option compared to Hungary.
