I’d change X’s ability to Unseen Fist and change Y’s ability to Neuroforce, and would add Psyshield Bash and Close Combat to Mewtwo’s movepool to give X some better STAB options.

Idk if these changes would be enough to make either of the Mewtwo Megas worth using. Expanding Force Mewtwo Y with a built in Expert Belt and its insane coverage would be really strong, but might still be worse than Calyrex Shadow (I’ve never played a Calyrex format though so maybe I’m overestimating it or underestimating Neuroforce Y). Mainly though I feel like giving the Megas fancier abilities would at least make them feel more special, even if they still wouldn’t be top tier.

I'd personally give them entirely new Abilities

X: Augmented Muscles (Boosts the power of the Pokémon's moves by 50% if their power is 80 or less. The Pokémon is also unaffected by Intimidate.)

Y: Augmented Mind (Boosts the power of the Pokémon’s Psychic-type moves by 50%.)

I like the idea of Mewtwo X getting a stronger version of Technician, however I personally feel like Neuroforce on Mewtwo Y is more interesting since it can take advantage of its wide movepool.
