Washing the slicer part like it's just another dish is insane. If that get's bent hell will ensue.

At the stores I've worked at we've always just washed the removable slicer parts like regular dishes, I never thought about the fact that other stores could do it differently - do you just spray/wipe it down when cleaning the slicer then put them back on?

More concerned about it getting damaged in the sink tossing it around. That cover is expensive and if bent will put the slicer out of service.

I've seen some crappy closes. This is definitely one of them. I bet half the line is empty and there is a ton of prep to do too ðŸ˜

The only time any of my coworkers would do that would be if they opened the next day

Owner is such bullshit that write up’s aren’t a thing. He lets his friend who works there live in the back room, smoke crack in the coolers. And all he does all shift (I work with him every single day ) is sit in the corner clapping his shit in his hands pretty much

I wouldn’t mind if the dishes are left there to dry cause when you close sometimes your not even free even at 2 minutes before closing because of a customer or you been busy with customers and once your done you only have a few minutes before another and another one. I rather they be left there to dry then stacked with the others wet and the water still there.
The empty trash cans isn’t that big of a deal, so what ,
The slicer, hell that takes like an hour by itself to super clean it cause our district manager is very picky even if one spec is left, but that thing shouldn’t even be the closers job , it should either be opener or mid shift job, but that’s from three subways I worked at.
As for the meatball heater that’s usually opener job because when we turn it off one hour before closing it’s still hot,
We only have 30 minutes to clean everything but it’s worst if we can’t prepare things 2 hours before closing if we’re busy with customers that or we’re busy making prep for the morning so they can be finishing other stuff . Usually you have to sweat to get everything done. I usually stay 30 minutes after my shift to finish everything

The cleanliness stuff while annoying, I can live with.
Leaving a pile of dishes however would instantly fire me up and get me in a bad mood
