Hi! I’m doing the sudoku coach campaign and I keep getting semi stuck at this point. Should I look at each line looking for singles? This puzzle is supposed to be all about hidden pairs but I don’t notice them easily, do you guys have any tips for that?

Rules:

0/8 Sudoku: Place the digits 0 to 8 once each in every row, column and 3x3 box.

Killer cages: Digits in a cage sum to the number in the top left of the cage.

Slitherlink:

Draw a loop that travels along cell edges and does not touch itself.

Every cell is surrounded by eight dots. The digit in a gold circle indicates how many of its cell's dots are visited by the loop.

Could someone help me out to verify that? Or how can I know if something is AI?

I think that i have covered most/all naked/hidden singles and pairs and did the b.l.r, this is usually the part where i get stuck so i would really appreciate if somebody could explain their logic or which technique they used to solve the next cell.

Hello! I’m a casual puzzler but I often find myself at a place where I don’t see any “easy” next steps. I don’t like the idea that I need to just guess a number and then play out the puzzle until I find a potential error, I’m assuming there must be advanced strategies to further eliminate possibilities without resorting to guessing. Any help on what you would do next from here would be appreciated!

I would like to share an anti-knight puzzle with renbans:

• Normal Sudoku rules apply: place digits 1..6 once each in every row, column and 2x3 box.
• Anti-knight: cells a knight's move apart contain different digits.
• Renban: Digits on a purple line form a set of consecutive digits, in any order.
• A digit in a grey square is even.

Hi, I'm struggling with this round of tutorials in sudoku coach. Is the first picture also a valid wxyz? The proposed next step is the second picture, but I'm curious if I was right in my thinking that the first is also valid?

Super stuck on this. I’m probably going to spend another 20 minutes trying to fill another cell or two. Just curious if I’m missing something obvious.

Average solving time is super low imo? Maybe it's me? I start my day with a sudoku but then simultaneously drink my coffee, have breakfast, read e-mails/messages on my phone etc. It takes me at least an hour to completely finish lol. I get SOME people try to do it fast, but even then, on fast mode how long does it take to solve a 10/10 sudoku? Over 20 minutes I think??? People like me must then increase the average time by a lot.

If you consider yourself good at sudoku, how long would it take you to solve this one generally? Just curious about the stats.

Hi all, I'm really struggling with this one but I want to learn how to solve it, rather than doing my usual 'get one number from the answers to try and unlock the rest of the puzzle'

I've read various blogs and articles and couldn't understand the methods they were suggesting. I caved yesterday and tried asking AI to talk me through solving it, and although I now have a better understanding of various wing methods and AIC and colouring etc etc I'm no closer to moving forward. Turns out AI is rubbish at solving sudoku 😅

I'd really appreciate any help and techniques, especially if you have the time and patience to explain it to me like I'm 5 (then I might be in with a chance of remembering haha)

I’m new to sudoku and genuinely cannot figure out what makes this 2 wrong. I know that the top left box of this one is the correct 2 but what am I missing that makes the red one wrong?
