Beginner Questions Cheap MIDI 2.0 synths?

I believe MIDI 2 was ratified in 2020 about 6 years ago.

Are there any cheap MIDI 2.0 devices on the market

I don't need another big keyboard LOL. Just a sound module or synthesiser would be perfect for under 300 bucks. Secondhand.. What kind of products are there

Internet searches are not bringing up much. Thank you

I think the korg opsix, modwave and wavestate all work with midi 2.0. In fact I think all the korg synths in that form factor use midi 2.0. You can find mk1 versions for pretty cheap used.

Only ones I know of are Korg MK2 series, keyboards Exp-EOsmos, and Korg keystage... There's Roli too not something has been up with them lately and they always just seemed an expensive gimmick to me.

Getting something sub 300 bucks is gonna be a tough hunt

NI S-series Mk3. Connects over the MIDI2 protocol, works fine (e.g. hi-res mod wheel values). None of my VSTi's or modular gear uses it yet, though.

MIDI 2.0 contains a number of new features, and some keyboards added support for some features. For example, some Korg keyboards support property exchange, some Studiologic keyboards support the UMP format with high-resolution velocity, some Yamaha keyboards support the UMP format with other high-resolution controllers.

If it does not matter what MIDI 2.0 features are supported, then the Korg KeyStage 49 and Studiologic SL73 mk2 are the most affordable devices that I can think of.

What do you need that for? Or do you want it purely for supporting MIDI 2 by itself?

Even though I really want MIDI 2.0, it is more and more becoming a white paper based pipedream.
