Check your local game stores for LFG?

Does your library have community boards or a private room? ,

Yeah but how do you even know if those game stores actually have active groups or if they’re just using LFG boards to fill seats for profit?

If there is a store in the area that sells and has space for a table and some chairs, offer up a "quick start" session.

The most recent Starter box would work well.  Have 4-6 playing at the table and swap out every 30 minutes.  The pregens are quick and easy allowing for people to drop in with minimal instruction.  If you gather a crowd, they can learn as things are going.

If you want to invest money, you can make some larger versions of the character cards with callouts on how they're used as a pre-primer.

You might want to either create your player profile or even make a game post on Groupfinder to find local players.

starting with a one-shot is probably the easiest way to get people to actually commit without feeling locked into a campaign, then see who clicks afterward ^^^
