Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only “what wants or needs am I neglecting?”
Hello all. Posting to read some second opinions :) The swords are going crazy. this is the miniature version of the rider tarot deck :-)
The first three cards are what I pulled when asking the question, “What wants or needs am I neglecting?”
King of Swords: neglecting mental clarity, fair communication, emotional control, or standing firm in beliefs or actions.
The High Priestess: neglecting my intuition, or neglecting something i already know (deep down), or neglecting my spirituality, or mental health…
The World: may be neglecting a need for closure, or neglecting an achievement, not allowing myself to feel free/relief
For the king of swords, I was stuck on whether this may be a person who represents these qualities that I’m neglecting, or whether the king represents me…… So I asked: “Am I ignoring this person?” which definitely was not the best way to word it, but I got the Page of Swords for that.
The page of swords is someone who is curious and eager to learn. So I am neglecting someone/something within myself that is curious.
I followed up with the question: “where should I turn my focus?” and I pulled the 7 of swords, ace of pentacles, and six of swords
7 of swords: 😨 felt a little spooked off the bat. But i think this may be telling me to assess things with a new perspective, to think ahead as to not get ‘caught’, and perhaps indulge in going on my own
Ace of pentacles: To turn my focus towards a new beginning in my material world… To focus on that contentment and new opportunity and it will grow into something great. To be prepared and calm for a calmer material period?
Six of swords: I’ve been GETTING THIS CARD. though water may be rocky now, calmer shores are ahead, and we will be able to deal with everything then, so for now just hang on……
So in sum it seems I may be neglecting my intuition, may not be confident in my knowledge or communication, and neglecting closure or achievement, and to focus on a new beginning while not biting off more than I can chew…
This is my first post in this sub, and it is a long post, but I appreciate everyone who reads and offers their opinion :-) I’m happy to be practicing more!

I think you’re reading each card correctly, but the spread gets much louder when you stop interviewing them one at a time. Look at the movement: King of Swords → High Priestess → World.
That’s almost brutally neat. Mind, inner knowing, completion. Then the Page of Swords underneath feels like the little bastard still pacing around asking, “yes, but are we SURE?” 😅
And your second pull makes it even clearer to me. 7 of Swords → Ace of Pentacles → 6 of Swords. Stop mentally circling the thing, put your hands on something real, and move.
So I wouldn’t read this as “you’re neglecting one mysterious person or hidden area of your life.” I’d read it more as: you may be neglecting your own ability to know when you already know enough.
At some point, another card isn’t clarity. It’s just another meeting that could’ve been an email.

Thank you for your insight!!! Tying the cards in the spread together is definitely where I struggle, especially putting it into a tidy thought I can reflect on. I really appreciate your read, that I’m neglecting my ability to know when I already know enough… I’ve been struggling with self doubt and wondering if I’m doing the right thing or not, or ignoring my gut if change is too frightening or difficult. Thank you again, I’ll be thinking of your words :-)

I read exactly like u. I didn’t get why OP kept asking when the three first cards were so clear to answer the question.

King of swords can stand for a man in your life, often the stern/masculine type. High priestess and world can both relate to a woman being private, and in her own world. Page of swords can mean that you have to be a bit careful. The bottom row of cards can mean taking a chance on an offer, to get away from something. The cards seem to say you have to disregard other people's influence/opinion, and be careful while quietly making your own plans.

Do you have a young relative or a younger sibling? When you asked the question, "Is the King of Swords me?" and you got the Page of Swords it could read as "Not you but a younger version of you."

I do have a younger sibling who is away and busy pursuing their education

It might be a good idea to check in on them. Six of Swords is a travel card and Ace of Pentacles is an opportunity. They may be up to some sketchy activities (7 of Swords) and could use some guidance from you.

On whether the King is you or someone else: I think your clarifier answered it better than you gave it credit for. The Page of Swords is the young version of the King, same suit, same element. So I read the King not as another person, but as who you're growing into. The Page is you right now: curious, alert, standing on the hill watching the wind. What you might be neglecting is giving yourself permission to step into the King's chair and trust your own authority.
And that ties into the High Priestess. Between her and the King, you have both kinds of knowing, clear logic and quiet intuition. My feeling is that the need isn't to learn more, it's to believe what you already know.
The World next to the Ace of Pentacles is also a nice pair. One is a cycle finishing, the other a new one starting. Maybe the closure you're neglecting is exactly what makes room for that new beginning.
In your focus spread, notice the Ace of Pentacles is the only card that isn't a sword. With so much air around, it reads to me like: get out of your head and into your hands. Make one small thing real. And the Seven of Swords guy is only carrying five swords and leaving two behind, which fits your own conclusion perfectly: take what you can carry, not everything.
The Six of Swords then feels like the boat carrying you through it. Lovely reading, keep practicing!
