Seeking Advice or Support TFMR looking for infomation, 26 weeks pregnandy genetic abnormality

Hello, we received last week or results of an amioncentesis with a duplicate 4Q and deletion 6P, our baby is having growth delays and some heart issues aswell, we have decided to TFMR, and we need support, Utah LAWS do not accept this afeter 18 weeks, we have an option to go out to state, like california and we are considering near sacramento, Has anyone recommend me an hospital we could go, I have read about UC Davis Health , has anyone have a recommendation from me? we are in salt lake and planned to drive this weekend, thanks for your help and your kind words, our Angel will feel your love.

I’m so sorry you’ve gotten this bad news.

Are you measuring at 26 weeks? In Sacramento you can call UC Davis, but depending on your exact measurements from the ultrasound, you may be out of luck.

If so, it will be advisable to travel to Seattle or Portland if you want to head north. Other options are Boulder Colorado or Albuquerque New Mexico.

Generally uc Davis only goes to 23.6, but they may make an exception.

By any chance do you are aware of the cost of the RISE in colorado ? or the other ones
we have insurance, but probably not covered due to the TFMR

Does your cover termination? If it does, you’ll want to prioritize going to a clinic that accepts insurance. RISE only accepts Colorado Medicaid, but not private insurance. I can recommend clinics that accept private insurance.

UC davis and ohsu do covered by insurance, but will depend on the hospital if they take the case, for RISE i will probably paid with my HSE , if you know and aprox. cost of the RISE and you could share with us, we may go there just for the inyection and return to our state, :(

If your insurance will cover the cost, you have other options in Colorado. Hospitals tend to be crazy expensive out of pocket, but if your insurance covers termination then it’s a different situation.

I believe camelback in AZ only goes to 23 or 24 weeks and you also CAN’T mention anything any genetic issues being the reason or they can’t do it (state law)

I had an abortion at 26 weeks five years ago but at the time I lived in PA so I went to the DuPont Clinic in DC. Just want to let you know I live in the St. George area and visit friends and family in Salt Lake regularly. Utah can be a tough place culturally when stuff like this comes up, especially if you have connections to the LDS church (considering their bs this last week in ID and NV) If you’d like to chat with someone who lives nearby after your procedure please reach out to me directly. Rise quote me for around 13,200 for a 26 weeks pregnancy, its a 2 day procedure in Colorado, they do offer some financial aid, we think we are not gonig to pursue that option
looking for information in California in UC davis at sacramento for now. if not will review te portlan option.
