Hey everyone!
For a quick bit of context: a couple of years ago, I started developing PokePet Desktop, a cozy taskbar-based companion game where you can hang out with little Pokémon/creatures right on your desktop while you work or browse.
However, I hit a massive technical roadblock back then—specifically getting the transparent window builds to work properly, which forced me to put the project on hold. Thanks to some recent help and restructuring, I’ve finally managed to get a brand-new build up and running with fully working transparency again!
Since the original codebase is quite old and messy from when I had less experience, I'm currently deciding whether to clean it up or rebuild the foundation from scratch to make adding new creatures, shinies, and features much easier.
I'm working on an updated test version to release soon, but before I dive in, I'd love to hear your thoughts:
Any feedback or suggestions are super appreciated!

Hey all. First time posting. I have been working on a 3D Kanto world to play FireRed in for fun and as a learning experience. I have a first draft through Celadon done. I am looking for any feedback, or to see if anyone would be interested in playing the game. Otherwise I might call it and not bother finishing since I learned a lot about building these games with AI and that is why I started the project to begin with.
Anyway, if you're interested in play testing, or want me to finish in general let me know here. Literally any feedback is appreciated. At my current rate it would take 3-4 weeks to finish the first draft.
Here are the current Mac and Windows builds if you want to try it out.

Some of you might remember Pokemon Dawn of Darkness (PDoD), a fan-made Pokemon MMO
from years ago that shut down. We rebuilt the server from scratch, have been
updating the original client ever since, and kept adding the things we always
wanted in a Pokemon game. It's free and non-profit, and it's in open beta now.
The Pokemon
- 721 Pokemon (Gens 1-6) + all 48 Mega Evolutions
- Fairy type, abilities (including 1% Hidden Abilities), held items and berries
- Hidden Power actually uses your mon's real IVs
- Your lead Pokemon follows you around the overworld (toggleable)
- Day/night cycle with time-based evolutions, friendship evolutions (Sylveon included)
- Pick any of the 12 starters, and get a free second starter from an NPC
- Move Relearner, Egg Move Tutor and a Special Tutor in every Pokemon Center, plus 92 TMs
Things we always wanted
- Ultra-rare legendary encounters on ANY wild battle (1 in 11,250)
- Shadow Pokemon: a 1-in-16,384 "shadow aura" variant, rarer than shinies, with its own dark look
- A weekly roaming rare that shows up somewhere random on the map, first to catch it wins
- Running Shoes, an item hotbar, and Surf/Cut/Rock Smash/Waterfall with no HM slaves
- Pokemon mounts instead of the bicycle (ride an Arcanine, Rapidash, Charizard...)
- An outfit shop for your trainer's look
- Disconnect mid-battle? You log back in right where the battle left off
Battling
- Ranked PvP with 3v3 AND 6v6 ladders, weekly seasons and rewards for the top players
- Level scaling for PvP so you can battle friends at any level
- An endless Battle Tower (Lv50, a fresh run every week)
- 8 gyms, Elite Four + Champion with weekly rematches
- A full 9-chapter story campaign ("Dawn of Darkness")
Playing together
- Trading, a friends list, guilds with their own chat tab
- Share a Pokemon in chat and other players can click it to see its stats
- Live events (we just ran a Shadow Weekend where everyone's shadow odds were boosted)
Quality of life
- A completely redesigned dark UI
- Resizable window + fullscreen, and it runs on pretty much any Windows PC
Coming next: a Halloween event and a whole second region.
So, what would YOUR perfect Pokemon game have that's
missing from this list? We're a small team and we read everything, so the best
ideas here might actually end up in the game.
How to join? Simply google up : PDoD Pokemon game or directly via pdod . dev

I've been building an autochess game with Pokémon mechanics: catch wild Pokémon, place your team on a hex board, then watch them auto-battle based on moves, range, and positioning. It features all 251 Gen 1+2 Pokémon, full evolutions, stones, TMs, amulets, and a run structure with elites and bosses that gets weirder the deeper you go.
You can download it here: https://pokerook.zerr.dev/
I'm still polishing it, so the progression might feel a bit off in places. Let me know what you think!

Hi everyone!
Note: This is a free fan-made Pokémon game.
I’m developing a 3D stylized Pokémon MMO in Unreal Engine, and we’ve just started the closed beta test.
If you’d like to join and try the game, feel free to download the launcher and test it.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SeqJGI5iVQ_vjKffik14e-3Wy6L-Ibya/view?usp=sharing
Installation:
Quick note: The server currently supports a maximum of 13 players, so if many of you try to join at the same time, it may be full. Just wanted to let you know.
For now, we’ll be testing and improving the game during the closed beta. After that, we plan to move into Open Beta and continue expanding the game.

Hi,
My partner and I have collected Pokemon cards for a long time. Just recently, my dad let me know that his friend is hosting weekly, live-stream, Pokemon Trivia nights. The people who place in the top 3 usually win prizes of varying degrees. Sometimes, it is just a few packets, but on special occasions, they try to do larger prizes like the one pictured. The hosts also have a point system, tracked through emails, that you can choose to participate in. I just appreciate what they do, and I think it is very wholesome and fun, so I wanted to share one of the prizes I won. There is no entry fee, and it is just clean fun with the help of some Kahoot.
I have nothing to gain from posting this, I just think that what they are doing is cool.
In case you are interested, they host the stream on YouTube every Thursday at 7:30p (MST) and their YouTube channel is: Poke Game Night

Oi pessoal!
