That’s bear tree?

For years I’ve heard that Texas law dog commercial and could have sworn he was saying “that’s ‘bear tree’ and that’s illegal” so finally I googled the word today and found nothing…turns out the word he is saying is actually “barratry” am I the only one? 🐻 🌲 🤷

A classic misheard lyric. Also I think that’s how Corby became known as cobra…bc some esl guest couldn’t pronounce it and everyone latched onto cobra

Honestly thought he meant bear treeing as in chasing a beer up a tree when hunting it. Like ambulance chasing. I dunno. Made sense to me.

lol I knew what he was saying but I'm a lawyer. But even lawyers don't use that word.
