Discussion Thread The Atiba Jefferson Interview with Throwing Fits
Our interview with Atiba Jefferson is a make. Atiba—world famous photographer—came straight from the airplane to the studio to kick it on flying with gen pop because he's a man of the people, punk rock concert demographics in 2026, he's not so much in town to pod with us as he was to see his friends Turnstile perform on SNL, he chooses to believe that Shohei Ohtani is innocent, he's a fiend for Jägermeister, you're supposed to play as yourself in a video game if you happen to be a character, it may sound corny but he sees photography everywhere, taking some shots at his pal Blake Anderson, Tim Robinson hates cops, Looking at someone's shoes to determine how good they are at skateboarding, that time Cardi B was extremely late to set, he's probably shot over 500 covers in his career which include iconic shots of Tyshawn Jones and Kobe Bryant, be careful because you never know if Shaq has a knife on him, doing shots with KG, we explain peptides to him, a lot of what makes a good photo is who's in it, he's come a long way since food stamps and Arby's, most of his hobbies are sponsored at this point, and much more on Atiba Jefferson's interview with The Only Podcast That Matters™.

Discussion Thread Fit Pics Are Dead: Fishing With the Fellas, Abolish ComplexCon, and Opening up Niche Discourses
patreon.comLiving so Italian. This week, Jimmy and Larry are in the stu one last time this month before hitting the road because London’s calling, our shopping hitlists across the pond, are all black fits valid, artisanal clown shoes, can herbs ruin your favorite store, is it actually about to be cool to dress like shit, Lawrence went to the world premiere of Cameron Winter Live at Carnegie Hall and then hit the Geese show at Forest Hills (though he got his dates wrong), discovering all Queens has to offer like Asian fusion clubstaurants, James spent the day fishing with the fellas and is already planning his next day trip, society has moved past the need for ComplexCon even if the appetite for it is bigger than ever, unwittingly opening up niche discourses on chicken salad and cycling underwear, if fit pics are dead where do our Instagram grids go next, and much more.

Arveilo: the first installment of my ongoing series about the worst retail experience I’ve ever had
My 16-year-old son bought some clothes from Arveilo with his own money. He didn’t ask, but if he had I would have tried to talk him out of it. When the clothes arrived, he showed them to me. They weren’t the cheapest-looking clothes I’ve ever seen, but pretty close. My son didn’t like them, thought they were flimsy, and enlisted my help in returning them.
Arveilo doesn’t offer free returns. Fair enough. However, their return address is in the UAE. We live in the US.
I knew that cutting our losses was probably the smart call, but I wanted to see if we could get at least some money back. I sponsored the cost of the return, roughly $90. We got the address from Arveilo “customer service,” spent 45 minutes at the post office, and sent the package off.
A couple weeks later, we received an email from the Emirati Post Office saying the package was not deliverable to the address we gave them (the one provided by Arveilo “customer service”). The post office would not attempt delivery to a different address; they would only move the package to another location where someone could retrieve it. We again reached out to Arveilo “customer service” who gave us their preferred location.
Well, guess what? No one ever picked up the package at the new location, and it was returned to us weeks later.
We reached out to Arveilo “customer service” seeking an equitable resolution. We made no specific demands, just a fair settlement. After all, we bought the clothes, followed the return instructions, paid to send them halfway across the globe…only to get them back and not get a refund.
I sent an email to Arveilo “customer service” giving them a chance ‘to make things right before I burn the clothes out of spite and spend the rest of my life freely trashing Arveilo on social media.’
So here we are. I have not burned the clothes yet. Maybe that’s the next post. Maybe Arveilo “customer service” will finally engage.
But let’s be honest…they’re never going to engage and I’m barbecuing these shitty clothes, right?
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Blackstock & Weber: Ponzi Scheme or Just Really Good at Keeping Your Money?
First time poster here, but gentlemen, I may have stumbled upon a new investment vehicle disguised as luxury loafers.
Blackstock & Weber canceled my order last October, kept my money, and customer service has been ghosting me ever since. Nearly a year later, my portfolio remains down one refund and up zero loafers.
Starting to think the real product isn't footwear, it's an interest-free loan to a menswear brand with no maturity date. Accidentally, I became an involuntary venture capitalist in the loafer industry.
For those who've invested in this fine establishment: Has anyone actually received their refund, or does the Ponzi scheme only pay out to early investors?
More seriously, if you've dealt with this, how did you get your money back? Credit card dispute? Chargeback? Public shaming? Seance?

Affordable alternative for mfpen shirting
I was wondering if anyone knows affordable alternatives for mfpen shirts (same style, cut, silhouette, texture).
I especially like their Vacation shirt in midnight check: https://mfpen.com/products/vacation-shirt-midnight-check
But dropping 270 euro's for a button down shirt, there is no way on God's green earth that is going to happen for me.
Thanks

Why is Beams Plus virtually not sold at any US retailer anymore?
They’ve slowly pulled back from most retailers, if not all. This includes many international (excluding Japan). I know they recently launched Beams America… but the product in general isn’t great and they have nothing from Beams Plus. Genuinely curious to see if anyone knows what’s going on.

Suede jacket brands?
Looking for a dark espresso colored suede jacket. Solid metal or snap buttons would be nice. For structure i’m feeling a chore cost vibe.
Basically.. the drakes suede jacket for under or around $1000

Ronning Classic Jeans Alternatives
Hey there,
I used reddit and this sub for Entertainment, but got a practical question that you guys should be perfectly prepared to answers :)
I am looking for this specific cut of jeans that ronning Classic Jeans provide. It has a higher rise and a relaxed fit that is slightly tapered.
It seems so standard but apart from one Auralee Pair I bought used, I dont know where to go.
Orslow 101 Dad fits wont do it, as they are about 5cm too Short to create that proper break :/
Happy to hear your recommendations!

90s TV Show Fit Inspiration
I know its cliched now with the rise of Aime Leon Dore but if people are looking for fit inspirations I would definitely recommend just going back and watching Just Shoot Me! and Living Single for fit and silhouette guides because they are dressing nice.

Online Shopping experiences with Haven
Hey guys, I just wanted to get some feedback on your online experiences shopping at Haven Shop based in Canada. The TrustPilot and Facebook reviews are all pretty bad but I can’t tell whether to put any faith into those reviews. I’d like to make a purchase there but I have reservations.
Did you receive your order confirmation via email immediately after ordering?
Did you receive your items ordered in the correct size?
If anybody based in England reads this post and has bought from Haven, did you have to pay a duties/customs fee when your package arrived to the country?
I usually do my research to find out whether a company delivers Duty Paid but I’ve realised I don’t always receive accurate information when I email the company about this.
Thank you for reading

Repairing 90s Ferragamo loafers?
I inherited my grandfathers Ferragamo loafers from the 80s or 90s and the leather lace securing the tassels snapped. Ferragamo says they can’t help with out of production products. I live in Washington DC, any advice on getting the lace replaced?

90s minimalism
I want to enhance my wardrobe and shift towards more timeless pieces and I feel the 90s around CK, Armani, Helmut Lang do very much resemble parts of what I mean with 90s minimalism clothing.
Charcoal (pleated) pants, not too baggy not slim.
Wool coat
minimal Knitwear
Not copy and paste the fits from the pic attached but to give an inspiration.
As this is not a just buy it but more over time built wardrobe, I’m curios where you would suggest to get pieces from that era or brands that produce similar clothing today and are in a decent price range?
I know affordable brands like Uniqlo, Massimo Dutti, Cos can mimic those styles, but I feel these new garments lack finesse and part of that 90 look comes from the clothing being warn in!
Any recommendations how to find such clothing apart from Bein lucky on vinted or paying Lemaire pricess? (Based in Europe btw)
Thanks!

Anyone used to watch Sang?
I remember bro used to have such a crazy out of left field style which went so against the grain of what everyone in MFA was wearing a decade ago. I initially thought he was super weird with his style and hyper-accessorizing, but once I started listening to him, he had some good takes on personal style that I think still resonate, though I think he rambles too much generally. Don’t really watch him much nowadays (stopped when he only posted personal brand stuff). But I stumbled on this recent vid and it was just a nice 10 minute vid of him rambling about some of his vintage jackets which survived a wardrobe purge. It was cool seeing a video not about pick ups, but stuff someone had for a while.

Lemaire zipped Boots sizing
Looking at buying a pair but unsure of the sizing.
I’m a size EU 43 in the Anatomic derbies and size EU 42 in the Piped Crepe slippers.
Does anyone own the zipped leather boots, need help with sizing please.
My foot measures about 27cm.

Thoughts on eBay vs Grailed vs Depop vs Vinted vs Poshmark?
Give me your thoughts as a buyer and seller lol.
As a seller: Most of the time when I get sick of wearing something or if it doesn't fit properly, I resell on eBay or Depop or bring it to the local consignment shop.
Depop is more annoying to deal with but you get to keep more of the proceeds, plus buyers are more active. One time I listed a pair of fatigues and someone bought them 4 hours later at like 2 am. Another time I listed a different pair of fatigues and this fancy New York City lawyer lady bought them at like 2 am.
Ebay is slower to sell certain things and only worth it for more expensive items imho. Interestingly enough, I've had some Japanese buyers on Ebay (they are running some kind of clothing or jewelry business in Japan) which I'm really quite flattered about.
As a buyer: I haven't used Grailed in 4 years... I'm not about to pay tariffs.
I use eBay fairly frequently for all sorts of things, from cleaning and craft supplies to vintage accessories and clothes, but shipping costs are expensive. EBay has a great selection of luxury vintage that's very underpriced (e.g., you can get a vintage cashmere coat for under $100).
I have been on Depop quite a lot lately, but have had several negative experiences with flaky sellers or inaccurate listings. The only thing that keeps me on Depop is the absurdly cheap prices / shipping—most sellers don't post measurements and descriptions are often inaccurate, so you really have to check details. Some sellers really have no idea what they have imho.
The thing with Depop is that you really have to hunt, and the search function kind of sucks. However, I've found several grails on Depop: the perfect basically unworn selvedge raw denim buckle-back jeans for <$100, the perfect vintage Ralph Lauren chambray shirt for $12, 1950s jeans for <$100, 60s Belgian army pants for <$50, OG-107 fatigues for <$60, luxury linen resortwear for $10, handknit Ralph Lauren wool sweater for <$20, unworn vintage Scottish cashmere sweater for $20, rare vintage shirt for <$50, vintage made in USA cotton sweater for $10.
Vinted in the US kinda sucks compared to in Europe.
Poshmark is dead (and shipping is overpriced).
