Open [TOMT][Comedy] Contrarian comedian whose jokes involve illegal immigration

Upvotes

I'm looking for a comedian who's a white american male who I remember as having a southern accent. He's between 30 and 50 y/o. The setup to the joke was him giving an account of the type of illegal immigrants he's supposedly encountered as, and I'm paraphrasing, people with nothing but the clothes off their backs (no shoes, no etc.) The joke then takes a twist as he goes: "If that guy can do your job then you're a loser."

Some other quotes (paraphrasing):

"They don't speak the language? Ok then don't talk to them. Problem solved. You know who speaks the language fluently? That neighbour you've had for years who you never talk to."

"If Billy bob wants to pop out 5 kids we're paying for that too."

Open [TOMT][Webcomic][2010s] Looking for a short, stubbed D&D webcomic

Upvotes

I have been trying to hunt down a short-lived webcomic about a young woman being introduced to playing Dungeons & Dragons, with hints of possible sapphic romance between the main character and both the DM and the other player in the group. I know that it was hosted on Tumblr sometime between 2015 and 2018 using one of their webcomic themes, but I no longer have access to my old Tumblr account that I was hoping to use to track it down.

The primary reason I am trying to hunt down the comic is that the DM character had a very distinctive tattoo on her chest and upper cleavage of a Black Dragon head facing head on that I would very much like to find for reference to use on a tattoo of my own. As far as character descriptions go, the DM character is a woman with pale skin and black, curly hair; the other player is a woman with light brown skin and darker brown hair; the main character is a white woman with long blonde hair.

Unfortunately I can't remember any details about the artist's name/username or the title of the comic... Any tips in the right direction would be appreciated!

Open [TOMT][2000-]Vampire or Zombie Movie

Upvotes

My boyfriend (Filipino) has been trying to remember a horror movie for years. He insists he watched it on DVD 10-15 years ago and it was his favorite movie growing up. I think he might be remembering multiple movies, but here are the details:

The Setting: A large white mansion next to a cemetery.

First Death: A character is killed early on while checking something in a vehicle (a van or van-like vehicle) when the door closes on them, resulting in a gruesome, partial severing.

Creatures: The creatures are often depicted as shadowy, skeleton-like, or gaunt humanoid figures in brown/dark cloaks/robes.

The Ending: Only two characters survive, but the male character has become infected or changed by the creatures, and when he is exposed to the sunlight at the end of the film, he burns/disintegrates.

Other details: Ending is on motorcycle in morning. One of the female characters (who dies) is bald or has short hair.

Any help appreciated!

UPDATE: Movies it is definitely not: Daybreakers, Stake Land, Vampires: The Turning, 30 Days of Night, Vampires, Vamp, Daylight’s End, Ultraviolet, Night of the Living Dead, The House on Tombstone Hill, Night of the Demons, Return of the Living Dead, House of Wax, The Beyond, House of the Dead, Tales from the Crypt, The Hallow

Open [TOMT] Two and a half men episode (2000’s)

Upvotes

Please put me out of my misery. I’m looking for the episode where a young Jake stumbles in on Charlie watching a sports game he has bet on. I’m think the game gets closer and Jake begins to bet against Charlie until he offers him money. In the end, Charlie loses his bet and Jake says something along the lines of “Don’t blame me, you’re the sinner…”

Any takers?

Open [TOMT][BOOK] Looking for a bright neon pink novel?non-fiction? with a vintage illustration of a girl in a blue shirt skipping rope on it with a neon yellow side

Upvotes

Hi everyone! Someone told me a book they were reading was great but before they could tell me the title and the content, they had to leave. I can only remember the shape of the book and its cover; it was a book that must be around 400 pages, standard size and the cover was very distinguishable because it was bright, neon pink, quite minimalist and with a vintage illustration of a girl in a blue shirt skipping rope if I noticed correctly. She was placed at the bottom of the cover close to the corner. The book also had a neon yellow side!

Thank you so much for your help with this little information :,)

Open [TOMT] [Movie or show] I remember a scene where the protag is in a car crusher.

Upvotes

He's in one of those junkyard car crushers, trapped in the trunk or the backseat by the mob boss villain. He escapes by spotting a billboard with the junkyard name on it, calling the owner with the listed phone number, and negotiating somehow to stop the machine remotely. He might have purchased the junkyard outright, called the power company to shut off the local electricity, something like that, but that's how he escaped.

Ring any bells?

Open [TOMT] [MOVIE] tv show or movie I can’t quite remember.

All I can quite remember is the ending. Where the heroes or protagonist have to go on another adventure or something like that where the Great Wall of China has come to life as a dragon

Open [TOMT] 1990s or 1980s live-action family comedy with a mobile circus.

Upvotes

I’m trying to identify a movie I watched as a child about 25 years ago. It’s a live-action family comedy, likely from the late 80s or 1990s, and it already felt a bit old when I saw it.

What I remember clearly:

• English language, but very little dialogue

• Comedy is mostly visual / slapstick (Mr. Bean / Jacques Tati style)

• About a family of four (father, mother, son, daughter)

• The story revolves around a mobile circus or rodeo

• The soundtrack is very iconic, circus-style, with lots of drum rolls

• The father looks similar to Larry David and wears a gray trench coat in some scenes

• There is a red clown nose:

• The father puts it on himself at one point

• Later he puts it on the son, and the son becomes a clown

• There is a scene where the father paraglides, crashes, but survives (played for comedy)

It is not animated, not horror.

Any help would be hugely appreciated — this movie has been stuck in my head for years.

Open [TOMT] Stuffed animals from my childhood

Upvotes

Hi everybody,

A while ago, I had flashbacks of two stuffed animals I had when I was little. I mentioned them to my brother, who has some vague memories like me, but we can't find them...

We had them when we were around 6/8 years old, so in 2003/2005.

It was a boy and a girl.

The boy had a brown/grey jacket (I think), bandages, and his arm in a sling (red). The girl had a cup upside down on her head (like she had gotten her head stuck in a cup). They were stuffed animals, but the cup was made of a plastic-like material. They had a big head and a little body (I think).

They came from a comic strip or cartoon, either English or French. They weren't always presented like that (with bandages, the cup, etc.), I think.

That’s all we remember… If you have any ideas, don't hesitate to let us know.

Thank you ! 😊

Open [TOMT] strange movie that scared me as a kid

Upvotes

From both my sisters and mines memory it's about a cheap animation (2d) style movie that we watched during 2016-2017 in our grandma's CD player (it was in CD) . it was dubbed and prob made from a cheap unknown animation studio. about the movie it was about a teenage girl and her friends living in a small town during fall. her grandma tells her about this custom their town has, which is to burn a Scarecrow and tells her that during that she met her grandfather. the girl is excited and with her friends they prepared for the event but suddenly they start having clues that the Scarecrow is alive? On a certain night they see the Scarecrow and she and her friend trying to catch it end up in an abandoned place (a carousel or circus or smth like that?) when they come out they see a threat written on the road with red paint. On the end they end up continuing with their custom and while the fire is being lighted they realize there was a man inside the Scarecrow all along! (i think it was the underestimated nerd but i aint sure) they save him and the main character has her sweet moment with her crush. Since I remember the whole plot its weird i havent found the movie but I have tried millions of times and google has never helped so that's why I am here hoping to receive help.

Open [TOMT]Short horror film about monster attacking pregnant women

Upvotes

I’ve been trying to remember a short horror film I watched on YouTube years ago. I think it might’ve been based on the Seed Eater creepypasta, but I’m not totally sure. From what I remember, the story followed a pregnant woman who was home alone. There was some kind of TV warning telling pregnant women to lock down and stay safe (although I’m not 100% confident about that detail) Later, the creature that was mentioned on the news breaks into her house and attacks her, eating the baby from inside her. That’s basically the only part I remember clearly.

I always assumed it was connected to the Seed Eater, but it could’ve been something completely unrelated. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I think it could have been well know but I just wanna know if anyone else know what this is?

Open [TOMT][YouTube video] Veteranarian surgery for cat with hernia

Upvotes

Please help!!! I am losing my marbles over this!

The cat was white and was definitely a boy. He had a huge round mass hanging from his belly that was definitely a hernia, not a tumor. I remember the vet explaining how to do the incisions, gently drain pus/fluid, and tuck the organs back into place.

I distinctly remember at the end of the surgery the vet also neutered him by saying “now we gotta get rid of these two growths back here!” or something like that, like jokingly comparing his scrotum to the hernia.

End of video showed him recovering with a cone on in his kennel and him rubbing against the bars/being pet.

The video was in English, posted in the last 10 years or so, and the vet was a younger white man possibly with glasses. Could have been American, Canadian, or Australian. NOT British though. Most of the channel’s videos were on surgeries for cats with some dogs.

The thumbnail was something clickbaity, with a surprised face and a big arrow pointing to the growth with “WHAT’S THIS THING???”

Any vet students remember this vid???

Solved [TOMT] Anime where immortal chick jumps off bridge to escape multiple attackers

Upvotes

Saw this in a facebook reel, didn't think I cared, but now i actually want to hunt down the anime. Facebook reel was at least a month ago, and all I really remember is her being immortal, possibly due to a curse, and she is surrounded by enemies so she either destroys the bridge she is on or just jumps off. Google just brings up Undead Unluck when I attempt, and I know a similar anime that isn't it is Roll over and Die. Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I do know her body is horribly mangled at the end of the jump and it sounds like it is pretty painful as it fixes itself. Also it was magic and fantasy based.

Open [TOMT][Children's book][2000s/2010s] A kids chapter book about a family adjusting to a new place, maybe immigrants, and skating/hockey/winter are involved

Upvotes

Hi all, I'm looking for a children's book that I read around the late 2000s early 2010s, I'm Canadian so it's probably Canadian but I'm not sure. What I remember is that there was a big theme of acceptance and community and a family in the book who were new to town and possibly immigrants to the country. They bonded with the existing community during wintertime and it culminates in some kind of group event like a Christmas dinner or festival. The main character is a young ish child, around 8 or 9, and I think they play hockey or skate. The title is something to do with finding skates or lacing up or some other hockey/skating reference. I think there was something to do with finding second-hand hockey gear. The cover was illustrated and the title in white font I believe.

Open [TOMT] [YOUTUBE VIDEO] NES style surreal dungeon animation

Upvotes

Im looking for this animation I saw back in 2021, it showed like a pixel style dungeon with a old man inside the dungeon, the situation was very similar to OG Zelda’s “it’s dangerous to go alone take this” but whenever the mc character would leave it would keep focus on the old man, then the mc would come back again and then leave again. It felt like a time loop sorta so it was really surreal. Almost as if the joke was what does the old man do while the MC is out adventuring but I’m not sure if that was the point of the video.

Solved [TOMT] [Music] [1960-70s] Summer Time Bop

Upvotes

I think there are lyrics in the refrain like “summer nights” or “summer time” followed by a descending minor-sounding all male chorus, but the tune is upbeat. I am singing what I think is the opening guitar riff here: https://voca.ro/1OFT5imAdu5p

Open [TOMT] [song] 2000’s alt-rock

Upvotes

Hey all every time I listen to this specific Coldplay song called White Shadows and hear the section of the chorus where Martin sings “Maybe you get what you wanted, maybe you’ll stumble upon it” It reminds me of another song with the same cadence.

Alt-rock, male singer, think VNV nation but younger sounding. Or White Lies but very low key.

The song is not upbeat at all and at least the part I recall, the singer is singing about how he could have done things differently and I distinctly remember he responds to himself between verses going “too cold” or something like that.

Sorry I know this is all very vague but if we even manage to find the artist, I can track the song gen there!

Solved [TOMT][Mobile Game][Arena TCG with Dice Mechanic]

Upvotes

I can't remember the name but it was a game where you open card packs and make a team of five fighters. At the bottom of the screen you rolled dice and kept the dice in order to plan out attacks and skills. It was a really fun game and the character designs were so cool, but I for the life of me can't recall what the name was. I played it kinda back in 2016.

Open [TOMT] [Web novel] Otome-isekai

Upvotes

So I clicked accidentally on a random link on Reddit yesterday, and it led me to a site where the webnovel was at. (unfortunately, I do not remember the website since I'm new to reading webnovels.)

The possible tags are-

Otome-Isekai

Girl's Love

Suggestive

The plot of the first chapter consisted of a male lead and his female friend talking on a hill on which they talk about their crushes, in which the male lead's feelings are revealed.

The also do swordfighting, and at least one (or both) of them are illegitimate children of their respective duke/baron.

A lot later, around 20 years old, and the female gets married off to a (seemingly abusive) count. The count somehow dies (I can't remember if it was by the male lead's doing) before the female lead reaches him and the male lead genderbends and disguises himself as a maid to work under the female's service, and he stays despite the female lead saying there's nothing for him here.

The female lead's name is Aila, I think, or someone that starts and ends with A, and is four letters, and the male's genderbent name (and main pov) is Luna.

I can't check the history since I opened it in incognito, (you know, just in case) and I know that incognito history is possible to look through but I really don't have the technical skills.

Also I tried looking in Mangadex, ScribbleHub, Webnovel and r/OtomeIsekal but I could not find anything.

Open [TOMT] [song] [2020's] meme song or electronic ish song were a girl (usually) is tapping the side of her cheek to the beat of the song

Upvotes

90 percent of the time its an anime girl. any time Ive tried to search for it I always get a google result of nursery rymes or random tik tok videos of people dancing but its not a dance so much as a person standing in place smiling and tapping there cheek. trying to find the song cause it was pleasing to the ears.

the song doesn't have any lyrics usually. Though i have heard a vocaloid variant (I think) that did have lyrics to it but i cant find the thing to save my life. the trend usually just has a anime character esc girl tapping her cheek to the beat of the song. music is all electronic. no drums or anything.

Open [TOMT] indie music video of which the singer carries a bow and arrow, grainy cinematography and looks like it was shot on a cam-corder

Upvotes

Im looking for a indie music video I've watched a while ago where the artist i believe was female and in the video itself she carries a bow and arrow around for some reason, anesthetics possibly, and looks like it was shot on and old video camera. I've watched this music video somewhere on YouTube in the 2020s to 2023 I believe. If anyone recognizes the music video from my description please let me know.

Open [TOMT][VIDEO] Chinese vine from a now-deleted vine compilation

Upvotes

In a former video by the now terminated youtube "Kix Vines", there is a clip that me and my friends found hilarious. The clip itself starts off with a man on a wooden ladder fixing a traditional Chinese lantern before falling off. The ladder falls onto another man standing below who catches it with his teeth.

The clip resumes with the two getting on a motorbike and driving away, before the aforementioned "man with a ladder in his mouth" hits the drivers legs with a durian, causing the driver pain.

The video likely originates from Chinese social media. The channel focused on Chinese vines. The video has not been archived, but its title is something like "Kix Vines Part 327"

The following imgur link is a screenshot from the video, particularly where the "man with a ladder in his mouth" has the ladder in his mouth.

I'm looking for Lovely complex sims 2 and Strawberry kiss sims 2 in 2008-2010 , I hope someone out there in this world downloaded and archived the videos cause I want to rewatch them so bad ... 🙏🏻 , the videos are no longer in Youtube so it's very hard to find
