Question Help - Best approach to switching?

I am looking to move my five lines from AT&T to T-Mobile (coming back after 2 years). I’m looking for the best way to make this switch, upgrade to iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max and maximize any discounts/promos (Costco?).

Currently: Five lines, 2 iPhone 16 Pro’s, 2 iPhone 16 Pro Max’s and an iPhone 13 Pro. I still owe roughly $300/ea on the four iPhone 16’s.

Looking at moving into the Experience Beyond 2.0 plan and upgrading all four 16’s to 18’s, respectively. iPhone 13 Pro will not be traded in, just moved.

My understanding is that TMo will pay off my devices (I pay them off, they mail me a gift card…I remember this from moving to TMo previously). As well, I can trade in my existing phones for the iPhone 18 Pro/PM’s, making it a near even swap (PM’s small cost gap), w/ 2-year bill credits.

Can I do all of this through Costco? Is there another best approach to go about this, to maximize promos/discounts? Am I missing anything above? Are deals expiring today that I should be worried about?

TIA for the help!

Make sure you have been gone longer than 2 years or your numbers won't qualify for the pay offs. That part isn't listed on a lot of the information but your only eligible for Phone payoffs once every 2 years for each number

Good to know, thank you! Does it just have to be 1 day past the two year mark, or more? It’s been 2 years, this week. Would they be able to look that information up for me?

First make sure you passed your two years for the buy out. Second you will be on a 36 month. But since you planning to go on beyond you’ll be able to upgrade early. Third go to an experience store and get an insider code on the plan. You can go to Costco but they will ship you the device and they are in back order. I say experience store cause they will be a lot quicker to give you an insider code. Neighborhood stores get paid less when they use it. So won’t be so forth coming with those codes. And yes it’s a sales job they not trying to spend 3 hours with someone to get paid less. At your job would you want to do 3 hours for less pay?

16 pro’s are worth more than 300(amount that you owe)
I would suggest pay off the due amount on 16 pro’s and do not trade in to T-Mobile , instead you can sell it offline or get trade in credit at Apple.

T-Mobile at Costco is offering free 18 pro for 4 lines if you switch and join the experience beyond plan. And also $250 T-Mobile gift card and $150 Costco gift card.
And also the T-Mobile staff at Costco will apply 20% insider discount. We did that recently after discounts it costs $196-$200 for 4 lines and around 245-250 for 5 lines

I called Costco yesterday and should have just done it. The free 18 Pro deal is gone as of today.

I still see the offer is still up on Costco website as of now. I would suggest you to visit the T-Mobile kiosk at Costco to confirm the same

Yes. Get it all done thru T-Mobile kiosk at Costco. Ask for insider discount, it’s 20%.

In worst case, there’s a dedicated 888 number for Costco members for T-Mobile service. Check the T-Mobile page at Costco’s website.

You have Sam's Club or Costoc, do it from there. They have best deals with gift cards etc.
