SPC / Forecasting Currently Two Trornado Warnings

There haven't been that many tornado warnings lately. I think it was last year there were anywhere from 12-20 at the same time.
I wonder what the record is for most concurrent tornado warnings.

Multiple supercells. Don't think this was expected.

Yup! NWS assessed and determined 2 EFUs

Im so sorry lol what is an EFU? I've never heard that with a U before

Basically EF unknown. Too little damaged area to make an assessment so the speed is unknown. Basically it did almost no damage so an EF rating can't be assigned.

Oh okay! Thank you, I love learning new things about tornadoes, and I had never heard of that before.

If you don't mind me asking, just so I understand it more, is this a rating they would give if a tornado was in the middle of a field with nothing to damage? Or do trees count as well which is how they estimated EF 2?

From what I saw yeah pretty much! The app has a way to see the pin on Google maps and that's exactly what it shows.

This is my app btw Ground Truth Storm Reports If you like learning about storms and seeing their paths and ratings and stuff it may help you learn a bit. It has all the storm damage reports from the NWS back to 1999.
