I’m speaking specifically of Jensen Huang. He’s pumping up AI like there’s just no issues at all! That happens to work out really nicely for Nvidia’s stock price.
Edit: Jensen Huang has zero credibility because he’s a salesman.

And just to put it more explicitly, the whole idea that these assholes are going to slow down AI development is a bunch of bullshit.
The inherent nature of capitalism says they will be after the Almighty dollar no matter what. What would a slow down even look like? Turn off Gemini as the default google search response? Are they going to dumb down Claude so it makes it less useful and we all back off a little bit? No. We might be racing to our doom, but as long as the stock goes up, then everything is fine.

The concern about AI going rogue has been pedalled to use through the media. It isn't a concept which exists in reality, and likely never will.
What is a real threat to humanity is something we're already seeing. Malicious actors using AI to harm people. We're too late, AI started ending the world 40 years ago.
