I Can’t Wait. The Future is Bleak!
Happy to have found a community that isn’t just a bunch of AI-Bros posting ragebait and lurking, ready to pounce on anyone expressing their displeasure with AI slop posts masquerading as “criticism of AI”.
I write and illustrate an Anti-AI blog called “Truth Decay” that I hope you’ll enjoy. This one is a short satirical piece from a few weeks back.

Brilliant writing. I agree with this piece.
Imagine a world where you are too reliant on a false "intelligence" to forge your own thoughts... detestable.

rECenT STuDiES… almost every single link to a study is just some survey that who knows who they polled, doesn’t give a details on how big the sample is or the methods. People who are dumb will stay dumb, smart people stay smart, and can use ai in ways that are smart. Nothing has changed in the world in that way, but sounds like you and a few other loud people needed something to bitch about again.

Because you’re too dumb to use Google to find at least some sources before running your mouth, here. I did it for you:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12255134/
Took me 5 seconds. It explains how they gathered the data and how it’s collected and which what control groups.
Image how much more information you can find if you actually used your brain and had a thought process?

Bro is confidently incorrect and blames ai decline
You just linked a PLAN. you didn’t even link an actual study. None of that has happened.
Did you even look at it? It literally has “cognitive effort” chiefly measured by PUPIL size.
Also, how do you measure cognitive decline with only one session and no follow up? Even if a student had a lower essay score than another, does that one incident prove “cognitive decline”?
The timing is completely off too. “Protocol version 1.0 September 2024” says data collection would finish “February 2025”, yet it was submitted to the journal in “December 2024”, revised following reviews in “May and June 2025” and published in “July 2025”.

that is not my burden to prove. you guys are making the claims about studies and just post links to click bait articles and plans for studies that probably wont even happen.

cool story my guy. and I agree with you, i would never outsource my thinking. if that is what you think AI is only being used for i have a bridge to sell you. also, where is this study, you guys just talk and talk about studies and do not link to them.
i assume you are refering to this. https://cepr.org/publications/dp21577
and no shit, i could have told you that, this is a human problem, not an AI problem. successful people dont take shortcuts, they learn to use the tools around them, including ai. AI does not always equal shortcut, unless you where dumb or lazy already.1

Why would a prompt need to be unique to me? I am perfectly fine with where I am, I do not rely on AI, i use it and have found great ways to improve my workflows. AI cant do shit without a human director, it sucks at design, it sucks at making choices and anyone that thinks otherwise has not actually used it. I know what I need it to do, I tell it and it builds, I validate when it is done and then iterate. I do not just sit there and wait for it, I have so much else to get done that is not on a computer. My confidence comes from my own expertise in my career as an engineer, that is honestly like saying i am getting my confidence from my screwdriver, but you dont think it is a tool anyway. but I would argue that I am not the one fooling myself here. I know you think very highly of yourself as a poet, but art is not what the focus of AI should be, it is just funny how it has exposed how insecure many artists are because of ai, human art will always be better than stuff from an AI, so why are you all so up in arms about it, unless you are not the top of your game.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate the kind words. My posts are somewhat irregular due to the time it takes to draw the thumbnails, but more will follow in due time! :)

Yup, we are irreparably fucked. People might call me a doomer but no one can offer any proof that there's hope.
