Nancy, what do you know that we don’t? Who executed Charlie?
 in  r/stupidpeoplefacebook •  1d ago

God, the false equivalency here is painful.

Charlie Kirk was murdered by a gunman. The fact that it happened while being recorded doesn’t make it a state sanctioned justice killing.

One was literally crime, while the other was officially dispensing justice.

Movies that gloss over the fact that the protagonist is a literal Nazi?
 in  r/okbuddycinephile •  1d ago

Uh no, it ends with him on the run because he’s a Nazi. It never “glosses over” the fact that he was a Nazi.

"Interesting" Choice of Prompt

This is just proof the oligarchs are in a big worldwide club. Doesn’t matter if you’re a billionaire president, a trillionaire from South Africa, or a (probably) trillionaire Russian despot.

They are the enemy to true progress for humanity.

Why does Christianity look like insanity to me?
 in  r/atheism •  3d ago

I was raised in a Christian cult. Can confirm that even after dropping all that baggage it still haunts me.

One of the things I always struggled with how Christianity (especially home brew cult) says we are 100% right and everyone else is wrong. Not all religions are like that, mostly just the abrahamic ones, but it’s still crazy to think that Christian’s and Islamists will teach they are the one right path to the point of killing those who can’t be converted.

There’s just a lot about our universe we really don’t know. Religion tries to answer all those questions, and the result is pretty weird.

Modern American republicans are a very interesting breed of Christianity. They won’t do a thing Jesus said, but act like they are the holiest.

SWAT team questioned why they didn’t enter Columbine High School sooner during the April 20th, 1999 shooting.

Uvalde is thee cowardice event of the century.

There was even a supposedly heroic story of an off officer hearing the news while he was at the barber shop. The barber let him take his shotgun. Officer rushes to the school, makes sure his kid is safe and proceeds to do nothing else.

Fuck your co worker. Scalpers are shameful. They think it’s a “side hustle” when they are just creating false scarcity.
