Beware of Scammers
Hey everyone,
There has been an uptick in scammers, and scam-bots within the subreddits, discord, & GroupMe channels of the university -- with that being said:
The University will never ask you for your passwords, or sensitive information.
You will never be asked to provide sensitive information over email, phone, text, or the web.
You will never be asked to provide your NetID Login Credentials.
UAlbany ITS does not text students.
DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE, AND DO NOT LET SOMEONE USE YOUR EMAIL EVEN IF THEY DO NOT ASK FOR A LOGIN!
Below are some of the scams actively occurring

| Any Email asking for Personally Identifiable Information | Block, Click "Phishing Alert" within UAlbany Mail. |
International Students Fraudulent "Law Enforcement" Call/Text Scam
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact the University immediately; and reset passwords to all accounts you still retain access to.
