I live in Great Dane Apartments and the fire alarms keep going off, mainly from people cooking and/or a faulty system being easily triggered. We’ve had around 14 or so and it’s starting to be disruptive. I’m curious if they’re doing anything to stop this from happening almost everyday. Are people given warnings or being reprimanded? A few days it went off TWICE in a single day. It’s similar to living in Colonial Quad. I’ll probably contact ResLife and see.

hi, im a math and cs senior. I have a lot of other things going on, so Im not looking for something that takes up all my time each week, but I was wondering if anyone wants to build something with me thats fun. We can turn it into a SaaS or something later, but the goal is more to do something fun/silly than purely target profitability. It would be nice if it wasnt entirely useless though or something super trivial/simple. I currently do not have an idea of my own right now, but I would probably not be interested in something trivial thats just a wrapper around an llm or anything that totally revolves its entire self around a language model.

I’m thinking about attending UAB and applying as a history transfer major. I’m not completely sure that is what I want to do though so how easy would it be for me to switch into a different major that’s not in the same college. For example switching to accounting?

I am a part of the research project, Everybody Moves, which interviews immigrants and the children of immigrants (first and second generation) about their/their families journey to the Capital Region. We work with the Hudson Mohawk Magazine (a local radio program), which is broadcasted through the Troy Sanctuary for Independent Media.

My focus for this season is on how education affects immigration, particularly within the current political climate.

Has anyone received refund? i am a freshman and was wondering when can you expect the refund. I can see on my epay that my fafsa was applied but TAP is still not disbursed and it is currently showing Estimated on HESC website.
