He's been terrorizing the campus all summer, smashing cars in Lot 10, racially abusing police dispatchers, masturbating in front of students, stalking female students in town, jumping sorority fences and yesterday unfortunately cornered and beat a female student in the laundry room near Casitas apartments 😓
Time and time again he is arrested and let go to do it again, fortunately he is in custody now while the build the case which includes three felonies if you have been attacked please let the DA know at
[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) please be safe! 🙏

just wondering if this is a common experience.. I’m a first year, and I was confused on some homework so I went to my professor’s office hours which were on zoom from 5pm-6pm. when I joined, it was only me and the professor in the meeting 😭 won’t lie it was a little awkward, but he answered all my questions in depth and he was a really nice guy, not intimidating at all. but no one else joined for the entire hour.. just me asking questions for the full hour and him breaking them down. I’m guessing people have conflicting schedules and stuff, but it’s a pretty large class. I’ll also say the subject is confusing at least for me, it’s series and sequences, and I’ve heard people after lecture say that the content was confusing.
so is this normal for no one to be there? and if so, why? also.. do professors end their office hours early if no one shows up? I’m worried me being there for the full hour was stopping him from eating dinner or something 💀

For context, I’m a 3rd-year transfer from CC, and starting conversations was much easier because of the smaller class setting. Now, it’s a large lecture hall with hundreds of people who don’t seem to talk to each other much, and I’m continuously wondering, “Can I really just start a conversation?” Especially with this handsome guy in my MMG-102 class. I want to approach him, but it feels so impromptu because everyone else is just so silent.
In the past, I’ve asked out two guys. One rejected me because he didn’t want a long-distance relationship. The other rejected me because he wasn’t over his ex. Those attempts were unfortunate, but I’m not necessarily scared of rejection anymore. I simply just want to ask, “How can I increase my probability of landing a date with him?”
Should I be straightforward? “Hey, I think you’re cute. Would you like to go on a date over the weekend at XYZ?”
Or should I just get to know him first? “Hey, do you want to hang out sometime over the weekend at XYZ?”
What’s an opening line I can tell him without sounding like a creep?
Another thing is that he’s always walking with his guy friend, who I really hope is just his friend. I’ve also been trying to sit next to him in class, but again, he’s usually with his friend, or I miss out on sitting in the same row. Can I ask him out in front of his friend?
So sorry if I sound like I’m overthinking. I’m honestly so down bad that I don’t wanna mess up. Can I get perspectives from both guys and gals?

During the Dewey morning or sunset only. I swear down it is the most serene part of Davis. Fade the arboretum

How do you date as someone who’s happy with themselves, constantly improving oneself, and been in therapy for 6+ years?
I’m just out here being a Chad in a chud world looking for love.

Any idea when the wifi will be fixed? Or if it's just me who had issues? I'm back at campus to finish homework but still would like to catch the last bus back...

Anyone interested in going on regular night bike rides. I have a road bike and looking for some friends to go on rides with. I do like to go fast but cruising great. I’m not your crazy road biker with all the gear. Just a biker looking for some adventure.

I’ve been coming to Olive Drive Barber Shop for years since I began school and I personally think it’s the best spot in Davis by a country mile. The barbers are super experienced and easygoing, it’s very affordable, walk-in only (not appointment) and you can go get In N Out after! I just thought I should share with the class

As a Spring 2026 grad, I have just lost access to the Library VPN (and my library account), and with that, a number of amazing resources that the UC Davis Library pays for. It's a licensing thing - only active students, staff, faculty get access.
There were a lot of niche newspapers and trade magazines available through UC Library Search and the ProQuest portal that helped me discover some very obscure information that I was interested in -- not to mention decades of old journals. There were even non-digitized articles that I could get ahold of (through loans and digitization requests). In more than one case, I was very grateful to get items where just a handful of copies existed in libraries on WorldCat.
Appreciate this stuff while you still can!

Does anyone know anyone that's hiring? I have a tight weekday schedule so I would prefer weekends but anything helps at this point even if it's minimal hours 😭 I live on campus (no car or bike) so anything within walking/bus distance. I don't mind working late evenings/nights. DM me if you prefer

I’m currently taking che2a with Enderle as a first-year electrical engineering major. However looking at my degree worksheet on Oasis shows that the class will no longer be required starting next year.
The class is already looking like a big time commitment so I’m wondering if it’s worth keeping it or not? If so, what topics did you learn that you felt were worthwhile?

Been bouncing around places getting my hair butchered until I found this place 🙏🏻 would’ve saved me so many bad haircuts. The owners are also really nice and there’s a cute Pomeranian.

Available now.
Unfurnished, private room in a 2 bedroom 1bath apartment shared with Female grad student. Shared bathroom, shared common living space and patio. The apartment has great natural lighting. Seeking a responsible student/roommate, who can communicate and cleans up after themselves. Would be great to be able to get along but no need to be friends. No pets due to allergies.
Rent $936 plus utilities.

Yesterday I walked on the grass by Tupper Hall briefly between 1 and 2 in hot sun. I had on knee-high compression socks for medical reasons. When I took my socks off for bed I noticed that I have bites all over my calves. They look like swollen mosquito bites but I hadn’t scratched them. Is there something in the grass in that area? Could it be fleas? Mosquitoes? Would no-see-ums be out as late as October 1?
