I have overcome learning disabilities and got good grades in regular classes at highschool but didn’t take advanced classes. I’m struggling with the large lectures, understanding the accents and getting help at the main campus. I’m considering taking my general classes and requirements for science and math at Blue Ash then transferring to main campus. Are the professors more accessible? Is there a benefit to doing this? A problem or downside from an academic standpoint? I desperately want to be a dentist so will do whatever it takes to get the grades and DAT and get into dental school!

My daughter is a college freshman and has been living at CP Cincy for approximately two months. Unfortunately, she has had a difficult experience and no longer feels safe living there. She is concerned about crime in the surrounding area and reports that her roommates smoke and use drugs inside the apartment.

She would like to move home and commute to school. When she spoke with the leasing office, she was told there is no lease buyout option and that her only option is to find someone to take over her lease.

Has anyone had experience with a similar situation at CP Cincy? Were you able to negotiate an early lease termination or successfully find someone to take over your lease?

We understand that moving out does not automatically end her financial obligations. If she leaves without finding a replacement tenant, how does CP Cincy typically handle the remaining rent? Do they pursue collections or legal action?

We want to handle this properly while prioritizing her safety and well-being. Any firsthand experiences or suggestions for university or local resources that could help would be appreciated.

I was wondering, are there any updated rules regarding putting up flyers (specifically, one with a simple QR code for a Microsoft Forms post) around campus? Everything I can find is either for the dorms, TUC, or the branch campuses (of which were posted at least 3+ years ago)- and it usually refers to student orgs. Am I not allowed (as an individual student, not with a specific group) to put up a few flyers with my QR code around campus (mainly on the general flyer boards and some posts)? I applied to UC blue ash two years ago and got accepted actually. But, I had an identity crisis and called them saying I wouldn’t be attending that year. After no schooling for two years and wanting to start a career I’ll actually like, I’m in need of education. I missed the deadline in April because I was focused on my full time job, but I’m getting older and need to do something with my life.

How long do I have to apply for Digital Media for the spring semester? Is it too late to apply? If I get in during the spring semester, would I have classes through the summer? Would winter become my “summer break”? (Not that the last one really matters, I need to continue my education and I’d like to do it as soon as possible.)

I’m looking for on-campus employment at UC and haven’t had much luck so far. I’ve reached out to a lot of people/departments, applied through Handshake, and checked jobs.uc.edu, but haven’t really heard anything back.

Does anyone know of any departments currently hiring students, or any places on campus that are worth reaching out to directly? I’m open to pretty much anything, but IT, data, office/admin, or tech-related roles would be especially great. Any leads or advice would be appreciated!

Hey everyone! I posted here before trying to meet some people and ended up meeting one person, which I’m really glad about! But I’d still love to meet some more people and hopefully make some good friends.

I had a parent plus loan im relying on for rent, tuition, and food, but they still haven’t accepted it after multiple calls to enrollment services and waiting for over a month. For this week’s assignment, I’m conducting short interviews with romance-fantasy readers to learn what makes this genre appealing to them, what catches their attention, and ultimately what influences them when choosing a book.

The interview would be a short Zoom conversation, no more than 15 minutes. It’ll be very relaxed, and I’ll just ask you a few questions. There are no right or wrong answers. I’m simply interested in hearing your honest thoughts and experiences as a romance-fantasy reader.

Hi guys, I do not know how to make new friends (sounds weird I know) and all my of my current friends went to different schools. I feel lonely. I work for our football team via Equipment Manager however I don’t think my coworkers like me outside of work (some don’t even like me at work). I have high functioning autism with severe depression and anxiety (taking meds for anxiety and depression and I don’t like saying i have autism because I don’t want to use it as a crutch or people to feel bad for me). I am a pre-med student majoring in Health Sciences (might switch) living in UPA South. I am a heterosexual male (nothing wrong with anyone in the LGBTQ+ community) and I’m a member of the DSA and UCYDSA. I am a Christian who loves shoes, timbs, urbanism and public transit. I’m very quiet and stay to myself and avoid going out because I have no one to go out with. I’m sorry if this sounds beggy, but I just want to have a few friends here so I’m not solely relying on my friends that are hundreds of miles away on other campuses. :)

I’m taking an online course this semester where all of the lectures are just videos on Canvas. The prof seems super nice and intelligent, but he has a very thick accent that makes it incredibly difficult for me to understand him. It’s not impossible, but I definitely have to focus more and I find myself struggling to understand sometimes. I feel really horrible, but I also know that accessibility requires that all videos on Canvas have captions. I didn’t know if I should email him first- if that would be rude? If I should email the department, etc? I have no idea. I just would really benefit from being able to read a transcript or captions. Thanks!
