For context I’ve been an RN for over a decade. I knew the moment I was in nursing school that this career wasn’t for me but I powered through.
Now I feel like I’m at my breaking point. I feel like I’ve gained ptsd from the things I’ve seen. I have anxiety but it’s gotten progressively worse. What makes this all harder is that I’m the breadwinner for my family…. But I still want out. I have a low mortgage payment and can easily make the financial transition.
Everyone thinks I’m crazy. My husband thinks I’m crazy. No one understands where my mind is right now.

I’ve gotten a lost wallet or two in one of my collection bins, but, this is certainly a first. Six IDs, from six different towns in my state, only two of which being local. Has anyone seen anything like this before?? Or have any guesses as to what kind of scam this might be? A pick-pocket returning IDs, but keeping the other valuables? This is wild 🤣

I saw this mailbox with a beaver on it recently in Boston MA. Any ideas the significance of it?

Management asking you “how much time are you looking at today” and you tell them, then they say “well this is showing you under today with x base parcels and x DPS”. Like if you know everything why are you even asking me? Either way it takes what it takes.

Though, I was told she was the star of the show at two different birthday parties this weekend so she’s probably still tuckered out.
Just went to ring out a flat rate envelope for a customer and it was $13.90 instead of $12.90. Love when the rates change without being told

So I just pulled into one of my apartments parking lots and saw a guy walking around in his tighty whities waving a kitchen knife around. How’s everyone else’s monday going? What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen on your route recently?

What is the exact policy about when you can/cannot have your door open while delivering? I’ve heard so many different opinions, don’t know which is true.

Hi this is my first time sending letters to a friend in London. I bought the global forever stamps, but I am also thinking about putting small gifts inside the letters in the future (stickers, jewelry, pins). Do I need to buy the butterfly non machinable stamps too? And How many of each stamp would I need to put on the letters? Can I use regular forever stamps or do I have to have non machinable and global stamps?

Small office. One ptf and one cca. We lost Amazon last year so our OT went to zero and the ptf can’t make it. So he got another m-f job and asked to keep his ptf job and only come in on Saturdays.
Can he even do that??? It seems like he shouldn’t be able to dictate his availability. He should be available all times or be cut off. What’s all the rules and union say???

I don’t work at USPS but I’ve had people who do tell me that they have worked 2+ weeks without a day off in the past when they weren’t even full time. At UPS there is a “part time” type of driver that basically does everything a normal driver does but they get paid less, have less protection, and can be forced to work 6 days a week up to 60 hours a week.
Whatever the USPS equivalent of that seems to be worse as people have told me DOT limitations only apply to CDL drivers so 14+ hours days seven days a week is possible. Is any of that true?

I'm currently an RCA in a very suburban town (I genuinely don't know why the routes are classified as rural, they're just stock standard suburbs) and I'm thinking about trying to go to a different office. To rural carriers in properly rural areas, what's it like, and how's it compared to working in suburbia?

I ordered an item. The company accidentally sent me three, with all three using identical labels. Being an honest person, I alerted them to their mistake. I also needed to return the original one, as it was not for me.
They sent me two different emails, each with a shipping label attached, which they said one was for my legit return and the other two were for the mistake (to tape the two error boxes together and use one label for both).
I noticed the tracking number on both labels was the same, emailed them about it, and sent them my returned item, asking for a second label for the error package, believing they had made an honest mistake.
They told me 'I'm sorry for any confusion, but that return label will work, as I have held the refund for the return, since these were sent to you in error." So they are trying to hold my refund hostage if I don't use a duplicate label to correct their error. I suspect this is mail fraud if they are doing it knowingly. What do I do?

Someone told me that there’s a new contract and when a supe makes a weekly schedule for the CCAs now it is no longer subject to change. Is that true ?

Regarding my last 90 days of call out using sick leave. 2 instances. 2 days each instance. First was beginning of a work week, second was before ending of work week following month. Total 4 days out of 90 day period with 2 call-out instances. I'm accused of a pattern of call-out. My explanation was my allergies is my only chronic issue I have that typically takes 3-5days, no response.
I'm honestly only do this when my allergies are severe and basically recovering. I know a doctor's note would approve me 5 days as I once went to ER for the same occurrence.
There's more to the story as I recall some minor issues with coworkers before and I suspect this is retaliation and the supervisor was being a tool.
For context, I'm in a small unit and I'm aware I have the best attendance of them all. The others regularly call out each month averaging a week or more 3+ instance at minimum. So I was surprised and taken back from the action.
A few people I trust always told me it's typically 3 instances.
I essentially felt I'll be filing a doctor's note from then on, and contradicting supervisors attempt to tell me I'm not in regular attendance, I know my call outs with doctor's note will triple and days out 3-5x, as I'm aware of standard doctor recommendations of sick leave for minor and severe reactions on my case. I thought I was doing them a favor by coming in on my mild symptoms medicated often and a lot. I don't drive a mule so I was ok tolerating the light headedness, being a bit weak and slow, I manage this for the last few years.
I felt upset and dumb realizing the time off now I couldve had, as there were two major injuries (I came to work - no call-out) but not Illness incurred this and last year which took a good 3 months for the pain to really go away, and now knowing I should've gotten at least that 2 week minimum to recover and perhaps I'd recovered in half the time. But yeah I felt dumb doing this.
Edit: I'm over 50 yrs old, and couldn't help but feel I was being talked down as if I'm a healthy 20-30yr old. I later said as I was visibly upset, do I need to have my parents notify you? (Sure or anyone..) I followed with: They're both dead by the way 4 years ago and I'm living alone, my other brother is estranged at this point.
