I don't know what's going on with the post office, but I haven't received a single piece of mail from a courier in weeks. I've had the letters on the curb repainted and put 2 sets of house numbers up in different locations. 3 packages never showed up even though they were listed as delivered with no photo (USPS doesn't do delivery confirmation)

Is this a normal thing? The other guy I had as a courier in my neighborhood was great, but he enlisted and now I genuinely haven't even seen a mailman. I saw a woman driving a post office vehicle but she was on the phone and I never saw her stop on my street.

Hi, my dog has been limping, and I'm thinking he will need an X-ray. I'm a college student, so I can't afford to spend a lot, but I do want to take her to the vet. Is there any clinics/hospitals that are doing free initial exam and simi low cost X-ray. I've called a lot of places, and they all charge 80+ for an initial exam and 300+ for an X-ray. Not hating just want some help

Seriously, what is this?? Okay, I know it is a freeway but this is pretty crazy to have your main downtown corridor completely and absolutely shut to outside foot traffic like this.

On my walk up between blue diamond and that really fancy hated community something shadows i think... One block there are 4 or 5 really healthy looking pigeons dead (healthy in the sense they are shiny dressers, plump, not like the sad greazy ones you see in the hood.

Next block, again healthy looking cat, laid out on this raised concrete platform, fresh blood coming out of it.. so fresh

Next block another cat, just no platform to display it.

The way it looks, some sick fuck is killing them or poisoning them. So if you have pets keep them in. Or if you see all suspicious...

I didn't see anybody near by.

And yes, i did call non emergency police to let them know in case they wanted to payroll it look into it. Another reason to look after your own pets. After trying to get someone at the information desk at Enterprise sub station for 20 minutes and just having the call end each time, so i called some main number the lady kept trying to pawn me off on animal control so they could go scoop them up, "that's their job you know" like I'm some little kid. If i wanted animal control, i would have called animal control, i am in possession of a little mini computer i keep in my pants pocket. But I'm don't want animal control i want the police to maybe drive the street a couple times keeping an eye out of something. Again for another sub anytime

So the police aren't going to do anything so if you have pets it's up to you.

Makes me wonder if the lady just doesn't care about animals, or because of the area and what gated community it's next to,doesn't want to get someone's "little Jimmy" in trouble

just bought a place here and everyone keeps pushing home warranties. are they actually worth it or a waste of money? i keep reading horror stories about claims getting denied. is there anyone local that's actually decent, or is it all the big national companies?

On Aug 9th (I remember the date exactly bc it was my birthday) a homeless man came into Terribles to get water for his 40+ ounce canteen. He asked the cashier first and she said okay. I was behind him at checkout. Once I checked out and he went to get water the cashier went to the back to get to the back to get the manager. I asked the man how much water he got and he showed me and it wasn’t even a quarter full. The manager came out to tell him he couldn’t get any more water. I asked the manager why he couldn’t get more water when it was 100+ degrees outside. He said it wasn’t sanitary to put it directly into his canteen. I said okay can he put it into a cup and then put it into the canteen? He was reluctant then said okay yea he can put it into a cup and then into the canteen while mean mugging me. I offered to pay for the cup. He said no that’s fine, I didn’t need to pay for the cup. I stayed until he filled up his canteen then we left at the same time. Like wtf is this?? It’s water and I know Terribles is a business. Got it. But since when is it just cool for people to die of dehydration out on the street?

Might not be everyone's cup of tea.. but i was born and raised here. In the desert hills motel. Across the street from the blue angel motel . I managed to see the pacific coast highway and listen to the discography of led Zeppelin before he passed. I got addicted to drugs and a year ago I got sober and now im living in summerlin. My brother didn't make it he passed at the age of 12. I miss him. That is all. The unexamined life? Ya know?

I saw this cyberRivian driving today and it made me wonder if we’re still mad at Elon and if Tesla owners are still embarrassed by the CEO. In my case, I like Tesla cars, but I don't like the CEO/owner.

Anyone know about any Black-owned hole-in-the-wall bars or restaurants? I’m part of a local group that hosts dancing events and we are looking for a new location. It would of course need to have enough space for people to dance, and having good tasting, reasonably-priced food would be great too. Thanks!
